Hey! The kids (DS9, DD13) are still sleeping off the party, so here's quick rundown and some of our personal experiences. We had a great time!

Program:

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade:
Starts in Frontierland at 8:15 and 10:45PM

"Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit of the Season"
9:30PM (regular Wishes went off at 6:00PM)

Mickey's "Twas the Night Before Christmas" Show
7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:15, 11:15PM - Galaxy Palace Theater in Tomorrowland

"Celebrate the Season" Show
Castle Forecourt Stage 7:45, 10:15, 11:40PM

Character Dance Parties @ Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe and Fantasyland

Meet Santa Claus - next to City Hall in Town Square

We had a super time, got to ride tons of rides, and never waited more than 5 minutes after 7:00PM, most were walk-on (Tomorrowland Speedway, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, Pirates of the Carribean, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Aladdin's Magic Carpets)....pretty much everything we wanted to ride, as may times as we wanted with no wait!!! (We were thinking this party would have light attendance and we were right)! The park was crowded, but, many folks were there for the festivities moreso than the rides. We took in the 2nd parade (it was great) and watched the fireworks show while riding Thunder Mountain Railroad 3 times continuously (highly recommended if you can do it!)

Gotta get ready to hit the parks!

I know there were a number of questions about whether there was going to be a free photo. Seems like that's a thing of the past. The 'deal' is "Save 50% on Disney Photopass photos exclusively for event Guests. See any Disney Photopass photographer for details!" (Offer valid on individual 5x7 photos only).

Later!

There was only the special photopass card that gave you 50 percent off.

Sounds like it was a blast, which characters were out???

Sounds like you had a very nice evening! Thanks for posting the program details.

Did you enter prior to 7pm? If so, what area did they have you wait in as they cleared out the park after the 6pm Wishes? And were the rides operating in that area?

 Woohoo The first report is in. I can't wait.

Disneygal I'll be there on the 12th too. Maybe it won't be TOO busy. :thumbsup2

the 50% off photopass card, I understand you no longer are getting the 4X6's but with the 50% off card, do you have to get them that night? or can you bring it home like the other photopass cards and order on line for 50% for that night event? Sorry, I think I am making this sound harder than the acutal question. Just asking if we have to buy the pic that night or can we wait?

TIA

I was wondering about that, too. Also, we were thinking about getting the CD. If we buy that at the end of our trip, will they let us use the discount? (I know, I'm being greedy. But, hey, $50 is a lot of money to potentially save!)

For MNSSHP, and this sounds the same, you could buy pictures that night for 50% off. There is no discount on the CD. What one cast member told us was that if you do not buy that night, they will only offer the 50% discount online, but only when you sign in the first time. So if you go out there and look at the photos and want to take some time to decide which to get, then you will not get the 50% off. It was all very confusing. The bottom line is if you want the 50% off on some photos you are better off getting them that night.

Going on the 30th too!!!! So looking forward to it now, and good to read all about it as we haven't been before. :teeth:

Behappy, Do you remember anything about the Belle's Enchanted Storytelling show? Is it going on this year? Times? If you saw it, did you like it? Was she in her red dress?

What is the CD? Your photopass pix?

Thanks for posting. It sounds like a great time and it is really getting me excited about my trip and MVMCP. Only 33 more days until I am in DW. :Pinkbounc

Its 50% off the photos you buy that are on the Photopass card and you can wait till you get home if you want to; that's what I did (you sign in and then upon check out, enter the code on the back of your special MVMCP Photopass card and you will get the 50% off all the photos you buy; the discount is only good once).

You do not get any kind of discount for the Photopass CD so if you want to buy the CD then the discount for MVMCP Photopass photos is moot.

But I must say you will not get the special MVMCP borders that you can add online (or at the park the night of the party) on the CD so you may want to buy one photo at 50% off with the special MVMCP border and then put them all on the CD and buy the CD as well if you want. There are no special borders and signatures put onto the CD pictures.
