Has anyone ever stayed in one of these rooms, the ones that were built in the old BWV preview center offices? How do you get to them from the lobby without using stairs? Do you have to go down that hall past the laundry then make a right hand turn somewhere?

I haven't stayed in these rooms, but I am pretty sure you can get to them if you take the elevator to the bottom floor (near the exercise room) and take a right after getting off the elevator. My only concern about them is they may be a tad noisy since they are directly right on the boardwalk, literally, lol. Let us know if you do stay in one! :)

Turning right off the elevator would take you to the standard view rooms on one side and the pool view on the other. I think you would turn left, go out the door by the exercise room and and go in the door on the other side (by the pool restroooms). Coming from the boardwalk, you would go right by the art store and then take a right past the restrooms (before the pool).

I stayed in a 1st floor room (1001) in December. It was literally next door to Jellyrolls (it shares a wall with Jellrolls). I was concerned when I got the room assignment, but I actually enjoyed the room. There was some noise coming from Jellyrolls at night, but I'd consider it a small annoyance instead of a major problem. That was the worst of it. You're back slightly from the Boardwalk (there is a nice garden separating you from the Boardwalk), so you didn't have people staring at you constantly. I definately enjoyed it!

Debi,
How do you get to those rooms from the elevator? I assume you can get to them from the croquet lawn door, but how do you do it without going outside and without using stairs?

I stayed in one of those rooms shortly after they were opened up to DVCers.

To get to them from the elevator: exit the elevator and go past the gym, go outside and go straight across by the breezeway area, and re-enter the building. You must go outside to get to those rooms from the elevator.

We stayed in 1005 -- a studio. It was all right. I had rented BWV points to be sure we got a BW view, and it was DH's first BW stay. I requested upper floor and of course, we were right next door to the preview center :confused3.

For access, as others have posted, you cross the walkway by the arcade and into the hallway for BWV.

Thanks, everyone. Kind of a bummer to have to go outside to get to your room if it happens to be raining.

I believe that the crossover is a covered area and should not be a problem in the rain.:goodvibes
