Am I crazy? Is it REALLY that bad?

My young girls love being at the pool almost more then going into the parks so I thought this would be an ideal request.

What does everyone think?

If you don't mind the noise, it will be fine. We had a great room in the 50's building. It was on the first floor and just steps to the main lobby. If I stayed there again, I wouldn't mind staying in that location again. It was considered a preferred room.

We stayed 1st floor facing the HD pool last year and that is what I have requested again for next month! We love it and we didn't notice any noise at all. I had heard about the noise and was prepared for it, but we never had one problem. We liked being able to step out our door and be at the pool. We were also very close to the food court to fill our drinks and to the bus stop. Our door actually opened to the kiddie pool right behind the main pool. I don't know if that made a difference.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! To us it enhances the whole experience to be able to just walk right out of your door to the pool and our family loves to be right in the middle of the action!

OMG thought i was the only "crazy" one who wanted to be facing the pool....i will be at POP Aug 3- 18 and want a roomin the 50's 1st floor facing the pool too, we did this during our stays at ASMO and loved it both times so nice to walk right out to the pool, and at night the run back to the room is not so far...:rotfl2:

if you are there during a busy time of year, Pop Warner, or cheerleading... it will get noisy... other wise, no so bad.

Our first floor room was in the 50s building and faced the "quiet" bowling pin pool. We didn't request it, we got it but I was more than happy since it had the king size bed I wanted.

The music from the pool will start every morning at 9:00. That I can guarantee. And you will hear it in your room all day long. I got a little tired of 50s music after a while. Thank goodness for the TV volume "up" button.

the pool here is closer to the rooms than the other pools.

so you could heard some teens late at night. or even worst adults who don't know when to quit.

most of the complaints about noise come from this section. (okay 80's too - get complaints about I4)

We were on the 2nd floor facing the main pool. Not bad at all. We could hardly hear any noise from the pool. But then my son was in the pool well after midnight too... sorry. lol

We just got back last week and were on second floor facing Hippy Dippy Pool. We loved it. Noise was not a problem.

we asked for the same thing.. don't worry its one of the best spots to stay ... if your worried about the sounds bring a little fan thats what we do ... my hubby can't sleep without hearing a fan in the background

We were at POP 4/26-5/3 and were in rooms 4102 and 4103, ground floor, facing the Hippy Dippy Pool. Classic Hall and the bus stops were really close.

I wasn't sure I would like it, but it was great. Not as noisy as I thought it would be. We had connecting rooms. My DH and I had a room with a King bed. That was awesome!! So much more room.

There was a table and chairs right near our rooms by the pool which we took advantage of every evening after a long day at the parks.

We just returned from a 10 night stay at Pop. We were in the Juke Box bldg., 4th floor facing the pool. There were a few nights that we could hear alot of noise from people in the pool until after midnight. Next time we'll ask for the back area again overlooking the lake, much quieter.
