1st Disney Trip for 3 year old twins birthday

No advice on the Poly, I have too many kids, so deluxe is over our budget LOL, but I did want to say that if you wanted to order a custom bday cake for your room at the Poly you can call private dining at the Grand Floridian.

Somewhere on the DIS there is a thread that shows pictures of the cakes. I will say that we have ordered custom cakes in the past, and while they are little pricey, they really are lovely and tasty.

Also, if you haven't thought of it Ohana is a lot of fun. Breakfast is a character meal, and dinner has a Polynesian show in which the kids participate. We had a custom cake delivered to Ohana dinner. My son'e favorite restaurant so he chose that for his bday dinner.

Also if you look around on the official WDW website you have can have your room decorated or have gift baskets or balloon arrangements sent to your room.

We are doing Ohana for a breakfast. Chef Mickey is on there actual birthday and I should have probably did it on their birthday morning. We are a group of 16 so I don't think i would be able to move it around now unfortunately.

Oh, no Chef Mickey will be great for a bday dinner for kids. It is the main characters and they involve the kids in a lot of fun, and since it is at the Contemporary you can get a custom cake delivered there for dinner. Cake ordering they say about 2 weeks out, but do check out the cake thread.

We stayed in All Star Movies when my twins turned 5. What I did was put the note on our reservation and often times during the week they received cupcakes after their meal and sometimes a bday card signed by a character. On their birthday when we got back to the room there was a postcard from Mickey wishing them a Happy Birthday. We had some down time on their actual bday (late breakfast at Chef Mickey then MNSSHP in the afternoon/evening) so what I did was order cookie cakes delivered by Mrs Fields (one sugar and one chocolate chip) to have in our room. I brought paper plates/napkins/plasticware from the Dollar Store with us so we could enjoy the cakes during the week. The kids loved them!

Thank you. I have asked our Travel Agent to note it in our Travel plans. As you mentioned we need to let the resort and other places know and hope they can get little special surprises along the way. Thanks again for sharing.

I have been to Disney world but first time with toddlers (3yr old).

Does anyone have a packing list or a link to a good one. I know I will forget something.

Trip is in Dec.
