1st day of school countdown !!!

Ok, ok I know I'm not the only mom ready for the 1st day of school.

My DD starts 7th grade in 7 DAYS!!!!!!!! (Aug. 25th)

When do your kids start school ?

My DD"s start 3rd and first grade on Spetember 2nd.

I actually can wait. It mneans the end of summer, closing up the pool and pulling out sweaters. Plus I am not looking forward to doing homework. This new math is killing me! lol

My ds (2nd grade) starts school on August 25th. I will be happy that him and his brother will not be fighting all day. But I am really going to miss him.

My daughter started today and because of the storm approaching, she has off tomorrow. She has a 4 week countdown and we take her out for our trip to the WL with free dining . I can't wait!!!

DW and I both teach in the public schools here. We started 17 days ago, August 1. Nine more school days until the end of the first grading period.

This summer just went too fast. We have been so busy that it feels like it just wasn't enough time.
I love the fall though

It's just the six months of sub zero temperatures after fall that make me want to cry

My ds7 starts 2nd grade TOMORROW. My dd4.5 starts preschool on Wednesday.

Teachers (me) started July 31. The kids started August 7. I had the cops come take the first kids from my class today-girl fight-great way to start the year!

My ds7 starts 2nd grade tomorrow. My ds4 starts preschool on 9/2.

Starts Sept 2 here in Michigan. I have mixed feelings. The quiet is good But I have to get up early, make lunches, transport to school, do homework, listen to the drama. School means alot more work for me

Sept. 2 in western Wisconsin! DD 5 and 6 will be in K and 1st. They have a chain countdown and are excited to get back. I'm sooo excited. We are surprising the kids at Christmas with their first Disney trip on New Years!! So it can't start and get to Christmas soon enough!! But I am a substitute teacher as well, so that also means that I need to go back to work!!

Our oldest DD(10) starts the 5th grade on Mon. Aug 25th and like one of the PP's said, I have mixed feelings. Although the house will be a bit more calmer during the day because of school but with school comes, homework, projects, fund raisers, drama with classmates and so forth. She is starting a new school this year so we're hoping that things will be much better than they were in the last school. Our youngest is just 3, so I still have many more first days ahead of us.

Here's hoping that everyone has a sucessful school year full of great learning experiences, fun school productions and memories full of smiles.

Tomorrow can't come soon enough! At 6:15 dd's 9, 9, and 5 will be escorted to the bus stop by ds15. The youngest can't wait, the middle two are sorta/kinda excited, the oldest has been miserable for days Four down and one to go My house will actually stay clean for more then 5 minutes after I finish cleaning! The food bill will go down at least $200 a month! I can take a shower in peace again! Can you tell I'm a little excited?

Sept, 4th for both of my DDs

I can't wait! The bickering will stop during the day and no more wet bathing suits all over the house and no more arguing at which TV show they are going to watch and I can get on the computer without them asking to get on!

SO.....yes, I'm ready for them to go back to school and I think that they are ready as well.

I was ready yesterday with the kids fighting over toys. Had to put them both in time out on opposite ends of the house.

School doesn't start until Sept 2nd. I hate to see the summer go, but it's nice to have some quiet even with 1 kid in preschool 3 days a week and the other in school full time. When the kids are together, it's not good after awhile.

I'm a day care provider and school starts here on Thursday!! I Can't wait. I lose 3 to school all day and 2 to preschool. The only sad thing is my grandaughter starts kindergarten

Our son started today (and the bus forgot him... it was an excused tardy but nonetheless an embarrasing one... he was so nervous as I pulled up to the office end of the school)!
