Depends what you looking for. Cabanas seems to have a little larger selection, and a (small) outside eating area. Also tends to be pretty busy. Enchanted Garden, you will be escorted to your table, you can leave your carryons there, they take your drink orders, and then you go to the buffet.

Sorry, should have been more specific. Which is less crowded, less chaotic?

We prefer Enchanted Garden because it is less crowded. It is still buffet but it is quieter and the servers will bring you your drinks etc.

This is a great tip, thanks for posting the question and to everyone for the answers. I was wondering the same myself. I was leaning toward EG. Sounds like a great way to kick off a relaxing cruise.

We ended up in Enchanted garden last year because Cabanas was full and I didn't care for it. At least on the day I was there it was way more crowded than Cabanas had been the year before and the selection of food seemed way more limited, none of the picky eater foods like pizza. The line was right down the middle of the restaurant so I didn't even think of going back for seconds. That being said, I'm not complaining just prefer the more open feel of Cabanas and that is probably because you can actually see outside from there.

When we did embarkation lunch at EG in September, there were 2 lines, one that formed to the left and the other to the right of the restaurant. The desserts were in the middle, leaving the center of the restaurant open. We were one of the first into the restaurant, so there was never really a line while we were there. However, I could see that if they get crowded that the lines would make their way to the center of the restaurant.

My wife and I always hate having to fight for a place to sit and the crowds of the buffet lines on other cruise lines on embarkation days. Being able to have a nice, relaxing embarkation lunch was a real nice way to begin the trip (we didn't mind the limited buffet options).

I didn't care for EG for embarkation lunch. Prefer Cabanas for that first meal.

I didn't like EG either for the first lunch either. Maybe it was when we arrived but we seemed to wait forever in the food line. Never had this issue with Parrot Cay on the classics.

We went to EG and had a nice leisurely lunch. We ate at Cabanas for breakfast one morning and couldn't get over how dirty and chaotic it was. We would never go there again.
