I've treated myself to my first ever annual pass (premium level no less:santa: ). I plan on going Friday Dec. 21 (first day of my vacation) and am off work until Sunday Jan. 6. I'd like to go to DL at least one other time to drink in the holiday decor. Any advice? I was thinking Jan 3 or 4 might be the least evil. What is your experience? Thanks for all the great threads and advice!

im guessing your getting an Premium AP?

well, the last week of holiday typically isnt that bad, but it is still better to go in the week than the weekend.

I had a premium last year, got a so cal this year. I went on Thanksgiving day, right around new years, right before Christmas, right after Christmas... They are all great days. Certainly much busier. I didn't mind, we went so often that we would just skip over the crowded stuff. We would be back soon to see it or ride it again. It really makes the trips very relaxing. No pressure to squeeze everything in during the trip.

I spent a lot of time at DCA when it was really crowded at DLR. We really ended discovering things that we might not have otherwise explored without the AP. Have fun!

AMEN! That is the best part of having the AP. No pressure to do everything every single time.
But to OP, I would go on Jan. 1. All those late nighters who were all squished together the night before, celebrating New Years Eve won't be so interested in getting up early to hit the parks the next day.

Thanks, guys. I hadn't considered Jan 1; assumed it would be packed. Yes, I am a hidden Mickey, admire the Imagineering and decor kind of gal (although I also LOVE the rides!) so will be focusing a lot on those things on the more crowded days. These 2 December/January trips are all about the holiday decor and parades. It's going to be a fun year!
