I am taking my nephew 12 and my son 11 to Orlando for a 8day worldwind trip. We are going to Seaworld, Bush Gardens, Universal, and have 1 day for a Disney park :sad2:.

Since I haven't been since my son was 4, wondering what park would be good for the boys? :confused3

Thanks
Tamika, Tai, and James

Most children that age love MGM. Because of RocknRoller Coaster and Tower of Terror.

Since you are visiting other parks with thrill rides, I would recommend Magic Kingdom. IMHO it's the quinticential (sp) Disney experience. Disney magic at it's best.

I would go to Mk too just bcause when I think of WDW that is the first place I think about, it is the most magical to me!! :wizard:

One day, huh? That would almost be like torture... :sad2:

Well if you only want to go to one park, it would have to be Magic Kingdom. A trip to Disney without going to the Magic Kingdom would just not be right. But if I were you I would buy park hopper passes. This way, you would be able to visit more than one park in the same day.

only one day for disney!! That's crazy talk! :rotfl:

Just kidding. I would buy a park hopper that way if the kids are really into the thrill rides you could try hitting most of them.

I guess the majority is MK, lol :rotfl: .

I will also look into the park hopper passes. Thanks alot for all the input. This trip is to see what they like for next years vacation.

Thanks again
Tamika

I know they have changed the ticket structure since then, but when I got to go to the MK on a day trip during a FL vacation (which does feel a little like torture...it just made me want to go back for a full vacation) it was VERY expensive to hop.

I agree with trying to get a hopper pass..

If so I would get to MGM before park opening and hit tower of terror and rock n' rollercoaster.... see a few things there and then head over to Magic Kingdom. (of course this is if these parks do not have early entry)

Check out the hours of parks before you decide where to go... I just asked my 12 year old and he said....
EPCOT- "cool things there like all the technology stuff- robots, Soarin, Mission Space, all the countries really cool and the great fireworks at the end of the day oh and the Sony Playstation stuff"
my 8 year old said
EPCOT "fun really cool fun rides like Test Track and Soarin"
So our vote is EPCOT

I think those that say MK just because it's the most Disney of the parks are not being helpful. Considering the ages of the BOYS, I think MGM is the hands down choice. RNR, TOT, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, the new stunt show - there just isn't any doubt that they would enjoy MGM better than MK.

If you're going for 8 days why not take 3 and go to Disney Parks. You can probably do AK and MGM in one day, then spread out MK and Epcot. That still leaves you 5 days to do Universal, Sea World and Busch Gardens (which is quite a drive, since it's in Tampa.) :confused3

I know when I take my kids (they're 18 and 20 now) and if I even mention going to a park other than Disney, they look at me like I have 7 heads. :dance3: They never liked Universal, and we've done Sea World. :sad2:

:cool1: :cheer2:

I think I decided on Epcot after watching an episode of ROSEANNE(LOL) on Nick at Nite. Then I read a trip report about Epcot and I think that will be our choice??

Dont I sound confident?!?! :rotfl:
