1BR Standard view BWV

We are going with friends in Jan 05 and i was thinking it would be in our best interest to get two 1BR villas. I think sharing a two bedroom with 4 adults and 4 DD would result in someone going nuts.Also it would be nice at night to have a break as well as both sets of kids have different schedules. My question is how hard is it to get two standard view 1BR @BWV 7 months out for Jan 05.

I agree, and very difficult.

This is actually how we travel to WDW every time, another couple and their kids. I find the OKW GV to really be ideal for this. Master for me and the wife, another bedroom for the other couple and the kids share the third. If you have to, although I despise having to ever open it, there is a pullout in the living room for the odd kid.

We have brought a few 'odd kids'(I am glad my sister in law doesn't read this site....)

Difficult but not impossible. We were able to secure a standard view studio for January 2003 within 5 months.
The one bedroom may be more difficult to secure, but don't count it out cause you never know!!!!

Are your dates fixed? If you can be flexible, your chances are better. I'm not sure when marathon weekend is next year but that weekend will likely be full. I got a standard 1 bedroom at 7 months for April 21-25.

Dates are not fixed but would like to avoid MLK weekend. This is there first time and we thought BWV location is great but we could stay at other locations as well.

I just saw on the member site that marathon weekend is Jan 7 to 9.

I say very very very difficult. I say that because I booked a standard one bedroom for this past January at around 8 months out (still in my home resort priority time) and I could not get 5 straight nights. Nevermind 2 one bedrooms for 5 nights.

I did not try the waitlist - so maybe that would help.

Oh, forgot to say that I was able to get 4 nights though. And I was very flexible - I had MS check every week in January.

You may be able to get it for one 1 BR Standard and the other may have to be preferred view. We booked a 1 BR Standard View in October for a January trip. I think we got lucky. At first the lady said there are no standards available when I checked on availibility for that time of year. The next call I made I made the reservation and again no standards were available. I asked to be put on the waiting list and then she said "no, wait a minute I do have one last standard view available". We grabbed it! Good luck.
