$199 four day pass

I need an annual pass discount. In March we decided we were going to take a break from Disney for a year or two so of course I now have three trips planned. I should have renewed our annual passes. Hopefully something comes out before our DH and My January trip without kids.
There's currently an Annual Pass discount. The only other annual pass promotion was for the PAP, which was still the same or more than the current discount.

I understand that, I bought one that time. I figured people would understand what I meant. The current discount is pathetic. I would not have an issue with the same discount as FL passholders if we could also have the annual payment plan. Before I get flamed I also understand that they don't have to give us anything. I would just like a better perk at least once a year.

Well folks, I'm starting to lose hope that we'll get another awesome ticket deal in time for the holidays. :( I was hoping one would come out just after Labor Day. I have a few weeks left before my FP+ Day. We shall see what happens.

I wouldn't lose hope. As of this date last year, nobody knew of the special pricing. Our trip is in 3 weeks and I believe if there is nothing by midweek next week, we'll research other ticket options. Personally I think the magic day is Monday or Tuesday.

I'm waiting right along with the rest of you. We have two weeks before we have to buy something. But asking for the latest info on upgrading tickets.....If I bought a 10 day non- hopper ticket and an AP deal came out, can we take those tickets and upgrade? I want to make sure I buy a ticket low enough so if a super discount comes out, I won't have to worry about a refund issue, just an upgrade (meaning I need to spent more). Even if a discount doesn't come out, I'd still like the info. Because one way or the other , we'll be getting an AP.

Thanks for the correction. I had marked that the 12th-13th were the dates of release and purchase last year.

Last year's would not work for me. The park of having to go to all parks and no hopping. DHS is a dead park right now and not an all day thing. But begged can't be choosers I guess.

I thought most people were disappointed with the "deal" last year. It was really a very specific ticket that only worked for very few people. I wouldn't call it an "awesome" deal.

Really hoping for another $199 ticket special. It will perfect for our short trip in May!

Can't speak to its popularity with the masses but (IMO) it seems like a perfect companion offer with the traditional AP/PAP discounts.

Want unlimited park access? Buy the AP.
Want an economical alternative for visiting all 4 parks? Buy the 4-park pass.

And if DVC and/or Disney offer any special tickets in the next few years, something like this seems like an ideal candidate. Hollywood Studios is going to be a big construction zone for 4-5 years. Disney could use some added draw to keep people visiting that park. If too much business shifts to the other 3 theme parks for an extended period of time, it will place a major strain on Disney's infrastructure.

The restrictions on this ticket make is "OK" for the once-in-a-lifetime visitor but a poorer fit for the DVC Community. I rarely visit MK (unless traveling with a 1st timer who isn't from the western states) and could plan/spend an entire weekend visit in Epcot.

Never said it was a perfect fit but it is an economical alternative. Not all members make 3 visits per year and not all members wish to pay 2.5x as much for APs.

On our last visit to WDW we did one day at each park. At $199, more than 50% off the face value of single day tickets and 35% off the current price of a 4-day non-hopper. Not a bad deal to those who could use it.

Well I was hopeful something would come out by now but our 60 days window is tonight at midnight so I have to go ahead and buy tickets now. I am sure this means there will be a fantastic deal by tomorrow morning for the rest of you. Good Luck!

My 60 day is 11/20/2015 but since it is an adult only trip we do not need to rush all the planning but hopefully they will come out with a Christmas gift for DVC members and offer a discount AP or PAP like the ones a few years ago

My 60-day is Wednesday so I am planning on buying our tickets tomorrow. Could someone please remind me of the ticket policies?
1) If I buy a 5-day ticket from a third party such as undercovertourist and then a DVC discount comes out can I change my tickets?
2) I am going to WDW in December and in March so I will probably get an AP. Can I get a normal 5-day ticket from undercovertourist now then upgrade to an AP a couple of days before my December trip - before I use my 5-day ticket?

I just bought tickets from disney. I was concerned getting the tickets from undercover. I did ask undercover about the same thing you are planning and was told yes disney will let you upgrade if that is still allowed. Their words not mine. Made me wonder if there were rumors floating about changes in the works. So since we didn't want to chance disney changing rules in the next two months, we paid disney prices instead of saving a bit. It's just two of us, so it wasn't a huge amount.

I have purchased from Undercover Tourist many times and was allowed to upgrade (and bridge the tickets) without a problem. I believe that the worst case scenario would be that the tickets would no longer be bridged and you would pay the same as if you purchased from Disney itself.

FWIW, I will be buying my passes using my Disney Vacation Account funded by Disney gift cards purchased with discounted Target cards. I'll save between 10-14% on my passes that way which is better than the UT discount.

Yeah, that's what I've heard but just didn't want to take a chance. I know I'm out a few bucks. but after the grief this morning with FP+, I'd rather not deal with it.

Doing the vacation account, gift card, target card...........great math skills. 10-14% adds up to a lot of savings.
