So I wanted to get all nostalgic and rent a couple of old Disney classics for my kids to see.... Song of the South, & The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

Only, I read that Song of the South was never released in the United States on video due to racial sensitivity and I have no idea if I can rent it anywhere now. Does anyone know?

And while we're at it... Has Ichabod and Mr. Toad even been converted to DVD? I'm afraid to break the old VCR dinosaur out of the closet.

The Adventures of Icabod and Mr. Toad is on DVD. I have received it from Netflix.

Song of the South was harder for us to obtain. We ended up downloading it from bit torrent and it took a couple weeks for the complete download to come in. But is a fairly good copy.

my DVD burner is on the fritz, so I was hoping I could just rent it. But from what research I've done it seems that it was released in Europe and not in the US. It has been converted to DVD. Someone bought 100's of them from Disney Paris and is selling them online for 24.99 each. Maybe I'll have to go that route.

I rented the Ichabod/Toadie dvd a couple of months ago.

As much as i love the Mr. Toad ride & the idea of Mr. Toad.....the movie was just OK. Actually, i preferred the Ichabod segment.

It's definitely not Pinocchio or Alice calibre.
