Just an FYI, but I have heard that Rosetta Stone will not be allowing libraries to rent out their curriculum anymore. Libraries are replacing RS with Mango Languages. I don't know anything about them. This is just what I had heard and I did verify it with libraries that I have access to in two different states and was told the same thing. You may have better luck.
Chick fil a had a CD for learning languages in their kids meal..Italian was one...its just a little lesson ..like greetings, common phrases, counting, etc. Obviously not for actually learning the language but was a nice CD as intro.
Wow, good thread. My DS (15) has expressed an interest in learning Italian with Rosetta Stone, but I was afraid I'd spend all that money and he would lose interest. I'll have to look into the other options.
