:)

i wanted to book a regular (preferred site) for july 09 and there weren't any available, so i got the outrageous 98 a night premium

i will be waiting for the regular ones or going somewhere else..

I can't help but think that the Disney suits are playing with the rates to see just how much people are willing to pay for a site. As long as they keep FtW full & have to deny others ressies, they are justified to charge what the market will bear.

Now...if they can't keep FtW full due to prices, they can justify closing FtW and building another resort in its place with 3000 rooms instead of 800+ campsites and 300+ cabins.

Unfortunately, none of us have the ability to find out what the long term plans are and why they are grossly hiking up the rates.

Disney has gotten a construction permit for installing cable in all the loops that don't have it. So cable is no longer the difference between a full and a preferred.

I guess installing cable in all sites may be a response to TV going all digital in 2009? It should be standard though and they shouldn't charge us $110/night just because we now have cable. We've been camping for 12 years straight at WDW and I think it now may be coming to an end. Sad because we do love it there, but there is no way we are going to pay $110/night (so far that's our 2009 res). We're just going to keep trying for a discount or not a premium site when it becomes available.
