1900 PF or GF Cafe for dinner?

On our first night we have an ADR for 1900 PF, but I'm thinking about changing it to GF Cafe.

We're staying at the GF and traveling with my parents and our 5 year old son and 6 month old daughter. I was thinking this would be more fun and a very Disney way to kick off our vacation. That said, my parents will have spent the day at Animal Kingdom and I imagine they might prefer a sit down restaurant where they can relax more. We're also doing a very early breakfast the next day at Chef Mickey's so it might be character overkill for them, although perhaps not. We're also paying OOP so GF Cafe makes more financial sense.

I do think PF might be easier on my 6 month old because if she gets fussy it would be easy to walk around with her.

What restaurant would you choose? If you've been to either one for dinner I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I'm not a buffet fan so we've never done 1900 PF, but given its arrival day I'd go with GF. They have tons of reservations open last minute so I wouldn't even book one until day of and make sure that you all are even up for it before you commit. It's been a while since we've had dinner at GF (but are huge fans of their breakfast), but it was good food done in a nice casual atmosphere that is even nicer on the wallet. We enjoyed the lobster burger they had and it was definitely a winner.

GF cafe alll day. We did 1900 our first night a couple trips ago. Arrived tired and famished and it was nearly inedible. Hometown buffet status. It was such a low note to start our trip at GF. GF cafe has some good stuff and the baby won't be an issue there. If you must do 1900, do breakfast.

I'm not going to lie...that lobster burger is the thing that made me start to question my plans. It looks so good!

We're flying in the night before and staying at the hotel in the airport. I'm assuming we should be good for dinner. I'd love to do Citricos, but I'm afraid the service will be too long for our 6 month old. In the past we've always done Narcoocee's, but it's always been a long dinner and I don't want to push it.

This is helpful! We've been spoiled with our local food in Austin. My parents are definite foodies so they'll probably really appreciate the switch.

Grand Floridian Cafe is really good. We enjoy eating there. Nice atmosphere. Good service.
