I made dinner ADR's for 1900 Park Fare for our last night at Disney. I am now reading a lot of bad reviews and wonder if I should try to change it to CM's for dinner. I want a character meal out of the parks b/c I don't know which park the kids will chose for our last day. Or should I try 1900 or CM's for breakfast instead?

ETA: I called to see if they even had anything available and they only had a "breakfast" ADR at 11:05. So now I need to decided between CM's breakfast and 1900 PF dinner....

I hope the reviews aren't bad as I am planning on taking my 8 year old great niece there in August...

First I will be honest and say that we thought our dinner at 1900 left a lot to be desired. Now you should never expect gourmet dining at a character meal, but when we were there, we felt it was below average.

Now that being said, my experience was one night. Everyone has different likes/dislikes. If you read long enough, you will see both good and bad things said about every restaurant on property. I have also seen lots of positive reviews on 1900.

I am glad we did dinner there once. It does have totally unique character mix.

'Ohana is another nice choice for a character breakfast meal not in a park, if that this the way you think you might go. Lots of time I think the breakfast buffets are of better quality than the dinner ones. Again, just my opinion. ;)

Added: I just now realized you are going very soon, and just saw your update. If I have to vote, I would say CM breakfast. (especially since it looks like you have a 4 1/2 year old boy)

We had dinner there in Jan...the food was good, but the characters were amazing! The interaction was outstanding, especially the step mother and sisters.
We also likes CM for breakfast, but at 11:05 I would think lunch foods would be out.
Think about which characters you want to see. Also, if you have an 11:05 it would mean leaving the park or arriving at the park very late.

Just my opinion but the food at both places was just terrible! Character interaction could not be better but the food was just awful

Yes, I know, your review is one that I read today and got me thinking! :rotfl:

Chef Mickey's doesn't serve lunch except during very busy times like free dining. :)
Correct and I specifically asked and was told breakfast foods would still be out.

I honestly think I am just going to keep both and play it by ear when we get there. What if we end up cancelling a TS for earlier in the week, then we would be able to go to both of these or chose that day what would work better for us.

I have a read a lot of reviews on this board and some I agree with and other I don't. You will read enough reviews on Sci-Fi to make you wonder why anyone would ever eat there. We ate there and thought it was fun and the food was fine, nothing to write home about but a decent meal.
On the other hand there are people here who carry on about zebra domes at Boma like they were the best thing since sunrise. I had the opportunity to try them last November and I have to tell I don't get it! If I never have them again its OK with me.

My point is try it for yourself, the meal that someone on this board is advising against could end up being your favorite!
