I've heard nothing but good things about 1900 Park Fare, and would love to go. However, I only have 1 child, a 3 (will be almost 4 at the time) year old boy.

I don't know if it would keep his attention. We've done Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine, and Tuskar House, and I'm planning on trying Garden Grill this time, but I'd like to try a couple other new character meals as well.

Anyone want to weigh in on taking a little boy to 1900 Park Fare?

My five year old grandson was not super impressed by the characters. But the food is good and plenty of adults were there without kids. We had a great time.

When my youngest had just turned 4, we had our first family trip and ate at 1900 for a character breakfast - he enjoyed it (granted, Chef Mickey's is more lively, but he still liked the characters where we ate).

In general, 1900 (especially breakfast, with the more lively characters) will probably keep his interest more than Garden Grill. We enjoyed Garden Grill, as it's probably the most relaxed character meal we've ever done. The revolving restaurant was a lot of fun for my kids and the characters stopped by the table numerous times, but it was definitely a calm meal.

If he is not so thrilled with Mary Poppins or Alice in Wonderland, it might not be so great for him. He might prefer Ohana at the Polynesian. That has Mickey, Minnie, (a few other standards), and Lilo & Stitch. We had fun with our son there in 2007!

My 4 year old boy slept through the entire dinner there and we were not impressed with the food at all. That being said though my two girls (7 and 4) loved it. I wasn't at all impressed with the character interaction there.

It's your trip too! Be a kid! If you would love to go, then go! :) He'll be fine. Go now, because it will definitely be worse when he is 12 or 13!

I don't know if you are talking about breakfast or dinner. We've never been to breakfast there, but we have been to dinner plenty of times. The stepsisters are hilarious, and I've seen them make a fuss over little boys, so he might think that is funny. They often yell across the restaurant too, so he might get a kick out of that. For us, it is an extremely busy, loud hectic place (more so than either Crystal Palace or Tusker House), but we go because DD is a huge Cinderella fan and she loves it. With the exception of one time when the food was mediocre at best, we have always found the food to be good there.

It probably depends on what meal you're going for. We were there for breakfast w/ our 5 yr old daughter. She loved it, as she loves all character meals. Of the four we did last trip, 1900 Park Fare was our least favorite food-wise and location/atmosphere-wise. The Mad Hatter is great though.

Ohana now only has Mickey, Pluto, Stitch and Lilo now. ;) It's one of our favourite character meals. Tusker House is our favourite.

I just booked my Cinderella Dinner Ball. There will be my husband, two daughters and my niece. When I looked at the notification that they email me of my confirmation they stated that "your party may be seated at more than one table. Are they serious? Has this happened to anyone before?

When we went there a few weeks ago and our party of eight was seated at two tables. They would have pushed the two tables together if we wanted it that way. Since it was a buffet and the tables consisted of bench seating on one side and chairs on the other, we decided it would be much easier to go to the buffet if we left the two tables separated.
