1900 is a character buffet for breakfast and dinner. It is located at the Grand Floridian (lobby area). It is very good. There are a lot of selections at both meals. The character interaction is usually very good also. I'm not really sure who the characters are now. My DS has had 3 birhtday dinners here and we've enjoyed them all.
Alice Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh and either Eyore or Tigger. The brakfast is the best I have ever eaten and the resturant is just lovely. It is a nice way to begin the day.
What type of food do they serve for breakfast and dinner? We aren't going to do the Disney parks this time, but I would like to at least have a character meal if possible. Also do they decorate the restaurant for Christmas?
The resort has a gaint gingerbread house inside the lobby. If you go to the resort board look for the frequently ask thread, click on the Grand Floridian thread. Cali-D had some great pictures and there are X-mas ones. From other poster here on the board the GF and the Yatch/Beach Club have the best decoration and the WL has some nice one too.
Menu is hard to decribe. I'll give it a try though. It is a buffet and they offer made to order omletts, french toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, bagel, cream cheese, assorted pastries, oatmeal, grits, eggs, biscuits, gravy, fresh fruits, cerelas, they also offer a kids size finger food bar for smaller kids. They have eggs bintx which are like omletts with cream cheese inside them. THEY ARE WONDERFUL AND DEADLY CALORIE-WISE.
They have a yummy dinner that usually includes some kind of beef (roast beef, I think) and fish plus a variety of side items, and a special buffet line for kids (or grownups who eat like kids) that includes chicken fingers and tiny hamburgers.
Best of all: desert. Bread pudding with vanilla sauce, or key lime pie. Both of which are stunners.
Go! It's a beautiful resort, and a wonderful place to rub elbows with some unusual characters (some of whom may be in your own family...)
