should we skip it or try it? how is the food? and is it a buffet or family style? haven't seen much on it, so wondering - i know the characters are there, but how about the food?

dinner is great entrtainment and good buffet food. I love the primerib and mashed potatoes. We have done the buffet numerous time and have never been disspointed. The characters are funny and very entertaining and do spend a fair amount of time @ your table. Try It!!

We love 1900 Park Fare! We haven't been to the breakfast and I'm not sure which meal you are considering. At dinner, the characters are Cinderella, the Prince, Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters. I believe the Fairy Godmother also. Our favorite part of the night is when we are visited by the stepsisters - they are very funny! The food is a buffet and it's one of our favorites (right up there with Cape May Clambake). It's your typical choices, carved meat, pasta, vegetables, chicken/fish dishes. We have always had a good experience there and are looking forward to our next visit in August!

The desserts are really good. The buffet to me was better than I have had on cruises. The strawberry soup is a must try. It is kinda like a dessert though. The evening characters are good but not like seeing all of the princesses together. I would do this if you mainly want to see Cindy and can not get ressies for CRT or dont want to pay as much. I think it is around $40.

The way I judge WDW Character Meals is by the Character interaction 1900 Park Fare is a place my 4yr old son and I go every year the Characters are good the food is OK just like the rest of the buffet meals, there is something for everyone and you will not go hungry.

It is buffet style. We actually have never had a problem with the food. The Step-Sisters are a riot, so this meal is a must for us every trip.

After nearly cancelling our ADR there last August because of so many bad reviews, it was one of our best meals. Go figure, the buffet was good and we enjoyed the step sisters and prince charming.

We LOVE 1900 for dinner. (Never tried breakfast, but would like to.) Love the prime rib and horseradish sauce, the strawberry soup, and allllllll of those yummy desserts. The characters are great. It's a can't miss for us. :thumbsup2

We ate there a few weeks ago for dinner. The food was pretty good--I really enjoyed the salads and the salmon and the little chocolate mousse for dessert. The stepsisters were hilarious and we considered the meal worth every penny of the price just for the opportunity to hang out with them. :thumbsup2

We unfortunately had a bad experience at dinner there in 9/09. We wouldn't go back for dinner ever. The hostess was beyond rude and nasty, and the entrees were poor. Nasty tasting Asian food and no prime rib, just hunks of some kind of low-grade roast beef. The dessert were really good, though, so I'll give them that. The chocolate mousse mentioned above was to-die-for, and my son liked the Edy's Grand soft ice cream machine.

However, we had a fabulous breakfast there in 8/08 and will probably go again for that this year. The breakfast has an omelet/eggs cooked to order station--you can't go wrong with a breakfast buffet that has one of those. Plus the strawberry soup is as divine as everyone says. And you can get the Edy's ice cream same as dinner.

The characters we had at breakfast were Mary Poppins, Alice from Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger. They were a hoot. The characters at dinner were Cinderella, her prince, stepmom and evil stepsisters. They were pretty funny, and I suspect can be VERY funny depending on the interactiveness of the crowd when you're there.

Have a magical vacation! :tink:

PARK FAIRE is must do when when we go, we have yet to have missed it in all the years we have gone. Last time we went I laughed till I had tears streaming down my face. The "evil step-sisters", really played up their part and had a blast at their antics. One swiped my daughter's wand and hammed it up.

The reactions we have seen to Prince Charming from the little girls are so sweet,. We watched him get proposed to by one little princess, she almost knocked him off his feet with her devotion. IT WAS SO precious, not even my child but it was one of those things I hope I never forget.

My daughters love the Fairy Godmother, and I don't think our trip would be complete without our visit there.:lovestruc

The character interaction was great and very entertaining. Aside from the first time we ate at Chef Mickey's (kids were young and sooo excited) this was the best character meal we have been to. Food was good for a DW buffet...it is what it is. A good variety and the desserts were very yummy! We plan on going back.

The food was decent. I found the Character Interaction here to be the best of all the character meals I've been to.

We went last August for the dinner buffet with two teenage children. The food was good, but the characters made the experience one we'll never forget. Let's just say the step-sisters made quite a scene over my son, the "eligible bachelor." Then Lady Tremaine came over and questioned his credentials (job, money, education, etc.). It was a hoot. :rotfl2:

I don't like buffets but the breakfast buffet is a must do everytime for the day I am leaving food is real good I don't know about the dinner :)

It is a buffet. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've eaten here for years now. I go every trip. It's character dining with good food. Pictures are not included, but turn out amazing! :goodvibes

This was one of our least favorite meals. The food was on average for a character meal dinner. The thing that turned us off was the noise! It was the loudest meal I have been at at WDW. I couldn't even hear myself think and was on total sensory overload.:headache: I wasn't expecting a quiet meal but this was too much. The calliope that plays every few minutes was deafening.:sad2:

We eat dinner here every trip. The Sisters are a riot ( ask them anything about getting married.. and they will run with it) and we think the food it pretty good. Its not fancy food but its fresh and good and the desserts are worth the price alone.
We are eating here for breakfast this trip also and are looking forward to it.
