I have a reservation for both. I will be going February 28 with DH, our 9 yo niece, and her mom. I can only choose one. I currently have a 9:05 at 1900 Park Fare and a 10:15 at Ohana. I originally chose Ohana because of Stitch, but he now has his own spot in Tomorrowland where his attraction used to be. My niece likes Stitch a lot, but we can meet him in MK instead. I have heard mixed reviews about both.

I also have a dinner reservation at Ohana that same night at 8:40 pm. I have to choose one of the 3 because it will be our one TS meal for the day. Any thoughts? I think 8:40 pm might be too late for us to eat and I've read there are long waits to sit down.

Just so everyone knows, we are not going to a park that day. It is our first day after flying in the day before so we are going to relax. We are staying at POP.

There aren't characters during dinner at O'hana so that may be a factor in choosing. I like 1900 PF for the atmosphere. When we went yearly, it was a must do for us. Has your niece been to disney at all or recently? I ask b/c she will probably not know the difference. To be 9 & wake up at Disney and get to eat breakfast at the Grand Floridian...be still my heart! (I have a now 20 yr old son.) All of your options are good ones. Depending upon her usual supper time, bedtime, etc. 8:40pm may be way too late for her to eat.

This will be her first and possibly only time to go to Disney. That's why we decided to take her. This will be DH and I's third trip to Disney together. I had been 2 times before that. I'm going to keep checking for early times at Ohana, but I'm not going to hold my breath. The breakfast at 1900 PF looks fun and DH missed meeting Mary last time so I know he would enjoy that! I think I'll keep everything for now, but I'm leaning towards PF. Plus, I love the atmosphere at Grand Floridian! If I could, I would stay there.

We will be relaxing all day so I think if we do end up with Ohana at 8:40 she could maybe take a nap during the day.

I would drop the O'hana breakfast. As you mentioned, you can see Stitch in MK and the food at O'hana breakfast is not good. I'm a little torn between 1900 PF and O'hana dinner, however. If you want a day to relax, a 9:05 am reservation when you have to get from PoP to GF doesn't sound very relaxing to me. I would consider uber/lyft for that trip, otherwise you would need to be at the Pop bus stop by about 7:30 am to even get to the breakfast. O'hana dinner is fantastic and so much fun, but that's pretty late if you are planning on hitting the parks the next day. If you could move 1900 later in the morning or O'hana earlier in the evening, that would influence my choice. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either one.

Okay, I went ahead and canceled my Ohana breakfast. I also changed my PF reservation to 10:45 am. I wanted it later in the afternoon, I just had to decide which breakfast to choose. Now to wait and see if I can get an earlier time for Ohana at dinner. If not, I'd still be super excited to do brunch at the Grand Floridian.

We aren't doing a park day the next day because we are doing the After Hours event. So technically, the niece would be able to sleep in and relax the next day before that event starts. I planned it that way on purpose.

Keep the Ohana dinner for 8:40. You'd be surprised how fast time flies when you're in Disney World.

The food at Ohana's dinner is excellent, but the breakfast food, not so much. The reverse is true at 1900 Park Fare. The breakfast food there is fantastic, but the dinner, not so much, although I would eat 1900 PF's dinner over Ohana breakfast food in a heartbeat. IMO, Ohana's food for breakfast is horrible.

I'm going to keep the Ohana dinner for now. I might ask my niece what her preference is. We haven't told her yet that she is going (waiting until Christmas). I'm glad I canceled the Ohana breakfast because the only point was to meet Stitch and I don't need to do that anymore. Would you pick Ohana's dinner over breakfast at PF?

I would go with the late PF breakfast for your niece. Since you are not doing a park that day, I think a character meal is a great way to start off her Disney trip. After breakfast I would suggest a monorail ride back to the MK and taking a bus from there if you are going back to your hotel. If you are using buses both ways, you could also do a boat to the Grand Floridian.

I’m heavily leaning towards the PF breakfast. We are taking a bus to mk and back from mk. I think we could maybe take the boat to gf and ride the monorail back to mk.

Tough call. The two meals are my favorite Disney Dining Experiences. Both are excellent in all aspects: food, service, entertainment, atmosphere, drinks and location.

Ohana's dinner has a slight edge because you can get a Lapu Lapu there, which is a Mai Tai type drink served in a hollowed out pineapple.

Those drinks are like nectar from the Gods whereas the best drink you can get at 1900 Park Fare is a decent Bloody Mary or Mimosa.
