Help! ADR'S due on Sat! I thought I had our plan set and then talked to my parents who are joining our family. She thinks maybe we should do Cindy's instead of 1900. Here is why I picked 1900. My girls LOVE Cinderella, we are very picky eaters (we love our mac and cheese and simple foods). This is our first family trip, so they don't know any better, actually they don't know we are going until Christmas and we leave New Years. The price is about the same b/c we are not on the DDP. Please give me your pros and cons for each so I can make my final decision before Sat!! Thanks!

We've done both and I would highly recommend 1900PF over CRT. There's much more of a selection menu-wise and we thought the character interaction was much better.

Hope your trip is great!

Cinderella's Castle. We are the same kind of eaters. It was great!

We are going to Park 1900 in August 1st time.(me DH, DD15,DD11)
I have read the character interaction is great!!!
We have done CRT and enjoyed it very much. I think that you should do CRT at least once. IMO

We've done both many times and while the castle is truely a priceless memory and you get a nice photo with Cinderella the food at 1900 is much better. You get a nice selection with something for everyone. You also get the fairy godmother and prince charming, the mice.

The lineup at 1900 has changed a little. I don't believe the Fairy Godmother and the mice are there anymore. However, Anatasia, Drizella, and the stepmother are all there and I hear they are hilarious.

We're doing both CRT (breakfast) and 1900 in September. I've been to CRT before, but not 1900 and I'm looking forward to it. For picky eaters, I think the breakfast at CRT would work well.

1900 is also our favorite, much more CRT ever was.
The food is great and the interaction with Cindy and all of her friends was fantastic. Also my son LOVED getting a pic with Prince Charming.

We had a fantastic time and is one of the places the kids(and Dad) asked to go back to when we return in Dec.
They have never asked to return to CRT.

The 1900 PF dinner was better than the CRT in some ways - much better interaction with the characters, more leisurely pace, bigger selection of food.

But. The Castle has a bunch of princesses! You mentioned that your girls LOVE Cinderella so that is probably all right, but it was great seeing all the princesses at once! Of course, you can see several in Norway, so last trip we ate at 1900 and in Norway and felt really good about it - we did not miss the castle at all!

BUT. The castle is just - spectacular. Eating there in the center of the MK, the windows, the winding staircase and stonework, the waiters/waitresses' outfiits, the lovely waiting room....it is a fabulous experience altogether, kwim? And the food IS good!

I guess it depends on your family - those things may not be more important than the food and character interaction.

Hth.

I have girls the same age as yours. We have done both CRT and 1900 and loved them both. Food at both by the way is very good. Interaction with characters is very good at both locations as well. I would choose CRT without hesitation. Why??? You are in the castle!!!! The ambience cannot be beat. 1900 is a very good place to eat but that is all it is..... a restaurant. The castle is truly magical and your girls will love it. Guaranteed.

Our DGC are young, 3,4 and 5, but when they arrived at WDW, DGS 4, immediately asked if we were eating with Cinderella and Prince Charming! We were. The Tremaine family is hilarious, and the food is very good. In June, however, we do think the food choices were scaled down. The chef-cut roast beef was excellent and there still was strawverry soup!

We missed the Fairy Godmother as we left the dinner. Bring her back!

We have eaten at the castle, dinner, and were not happy as happy with the meal.

We're going back to WDW in November and already have our 1900 Park Fare ADR's!

My husband and I will be at 1900 during the time we will be celebrating our 45th anniversary--I have always love the Cinderella Story (since I was a little girl--along time ago!!) so I am looking forward to actually meeting her stepmother and sisters--Ü Think this is a silly place for two (old) adults to celebrate??

Dining in the Castle is truly special, and if you will be at the MK its convenient. But its also really expensive. And I don't believe Cinderella is there for dinner. You also need to leave your credit card so if you end up changing plans at the last minute, you can be charged.

At 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella is there for dinner. There is a wide variety of food because its a buffet. Its less expensive too, and you make a regular ADR without a credit card. And while its not the castle, the Grand Floridian always has a special feel when you arrive.

I'd pick 1900 Park Fare

Firstly - congratulations on your 45th wedding anniversary!

I think the 1900 Park Fare would be a magical place to celebrate - go for it! :goodvibes

I think it's a great place. When we were there 2 weeks ago, there was a time that Cinderella and Prince Charming were dancing, people did cut in and I bet that you can mention to your waitperson that you would like to dance with them too, if you want to, that is!

There's nothing like eating in the castle, but the price has gotten too high for me.

1900 Park Fare is better unless your kids really want to see ALL the princesses, Cindy's castle had them ALL!

Park Fare has Prince Charming which really adds to the magic. We've eaten there both trips (2006 and again this past week). The first trip to Park Fare they had Cindy and the Prince and the Fairy Godmother and all the mice. This trip they had the stepsisters and stepmother...they were hysterical! Really got into their parts and didn't scare any of the children at all. They made us laugh so much.

We did Cindy's castle breakfast in 2006 and it was something I am glad we did, we got pics with ALL the princesses so that was a plus, to get them all in one place. I didn't feel we needed to do the castle again this year, unlike Park Fare which I would do over and over.

Thanks for the input. Get this. I was telling my mom about the posts and she decided that she wanted to treat us to Cinderella's Castle and still go to 1900 Park Fare!! She said that SHE wanted to go there and eat! Plus, the girls 5 &7 would like it. So we are doing BOTH!! Now, I'm rearrange my ADR's and hoping we get to eat at the Castle!! My mom rocks!!:jumping1:

1900 hands down. While being in the castle was magical, the food wasn't that great and like another poster stated, Cinderella was only in the waiting area (you took pictures with her in the lobby). Time was an issue for the waitstaff and I felt very rushed through the meal. During our first greeting, the waiter asked us to pick our meal. Yes he waited for us to decide and returned with drinks and apps in hand. The entrees were followed very quickly and then by desserts. The food was average. We went for dinner and we were on the dining plan. I am happy that we did this once.
1900 is in the GF(and the lifesize gingerbread house will be on display). Cinderella and Prince Charming were making their rounds and took time at each table. The food is the best buffet food on property IMO. They serve a strawberry soup that people rave about. The kids didn't eat much, but they had a ball.
Have fun!
