I'm still a few months away from ADRs, but we have pretty much everything set where we want to go.

My last debate is between 1900 Park Fare (dinner) or Donald's Safari (breakfast.) I have room to put either of these in our schedule; I'm just hoping to see if anyone has opinions on either - which is better in your opinion (food, character experience, atmosphere, etc.)

We have four other character meals planned (O'Hana, Chef Mickey's, Princess Dinner at Akershus, and Crystal Palace.) We normally always eat at Cinderella's Royal Table but are passing that one up on this trip.

So, let's hear it, please!! :goodvibes

We really loved the Tusker House breakfast. It is one of the few meals we are repeating on our next trip. At 1900 for us now it is just about those characters --who are absolutely wonderful and walking around the GF which is beautiful (often live music in the lobby too). Since the rehab a few years ago the food has been mostly awful there. It just depends on the ages of your kids and the character faves. That being said on our trip where we did tons of character meals we really got overloaded on char meals being rushed around and buffets. We did the exact same 4 as you plus 1900....anyway my kids fave meal from that trip was Le Cellier. O'Hana was everyone's favorite character meal and the only one without a buffet.... Since then we don't do more than half character meals and have cut back to the point where next trip we are only doing 2 out of 6 or 7 TS.

Depending on the kids age... My daughter was 4 when we took her to 1900 for the first time. She was all dressed like Cinderella except for her keds, I had to leave the glass (plastic) slippers at home, her feet would have ached. And she balked because I didn't have them but Cinder told her she wished she could be wearing keds and all was better with the world then. She was soooo cute at that age and Cinder was her fav at the time!

We love 1900 Park Fare. The characters and food are great. All the characters included all family members. wonderful experience. I can't say anything bad. I love the asparagus soup. The Chef came out to speak with us because dd4 is diabetic and she walked the buffet with me and came to our table a total of 3 times (thinking that's right) to check on her and bring special desserts.

Tusker House was ok. I didn't like the flavor of gravy and it was sitting in a pool of grease. yes, I know gravy is made with oil and/or fat but this stuff was sitting in an inch of oil on top! The characters were ok. They rushed past. I have 3 kids. They would stop for the younger one but I had to stop them to have pics with the older ones. The server we had was so so. It took forever to get our drinks and refills. (could have been an off day for her)

I love the buffet at 1900 Park Fare for dinner. And if you have little girls they meet Cinderella and Prince Charming. The dinner buffet is really the best option in the World for dinner in my opinion.

Since the rehab a few years ago the food has been mostly awful there. It just depends on the ages of your kids and the character faves.

I have to agree with you about the food. Barely average. We did enjoy the step-sisters though. :)

The 2 are so completely different. We enjoyed both. The food at TH was yummy, but it is crowded and lound int he resturant. 1900 PF is worth it for the entertainment fo the step mother and sisters along (IMO) and the food isn't bad...typical buffet dinner foods. I really depends on what you family wants (characters and foods).

Well, no kiddos on this trip. It'll just be 4 adults. I think we're leaning towards TH because of being able to be in the park when it first opens. We don't mind loud as mom owns a daycare! Thanks for the opinions; if anyone has anything else, I'd love to hear them as we're still not 100% set!

I enjoy both, but since you are looking to make a choice I would select Tusker House.

Specifically, I would make an 8:00 ADR for a that Animal Kingdom opens at 9:00. You can enjoy your breakfast and then be the first on the safari. Early morning is the BEST time to ride since the animals are all awake and active.

I vote Tusker House, too. 1900's food was just yuck for dinner, except the mashed potatoes. We loved TH's breakfast (love 1900 for breakfast, too; don't know why they can't do something decent for dinner.) We had a later breakfast ressie, so they let us stay for the lunch menu, too, at TH and boy was that good also!
