I'm roughly 20 days away from being able to make our ADRs and I absolutely cannot decide between the Cinderella dinner at 1900 PF or the CRT dinner. I've got a 9 year old son, a 4 year old daughter (will be 5 when we go to WDW) and a 4.5 month old son ( will be 11 months old when we go to WDW).

My sons will not really care about Cinderella either way, though my 9 year old might think the castle is pretty cool. My daughter loves the Princesses - but not enough to choose BBB over TPL! So, while I think a Cinderella meal is a must, it's not going to be the be all end all of my kid's trip, does that make sense?

Things to consider:
We're doing the DDP, so cost isn't a factor (other than that CRT takes 2 credits)
This will quite possibly be our one and only trip to WDW...ever. :( So every decision is crucial because I want it to be as magical as possible for my kids.

So, if you were me, which would you choose?

Have you checked out the new CRT menus? Personally I cancelled due to the new menus because the food is not up to par for me, and I figured I would like some where else better especially with how much CRT costs. Now I know you are paying for the atmosphere, but personally CRT is just not worth it to me. My advice is either go with 1900 PF or maybe even think about Akerhus, both giving you princesses, good food, and all for 1 credit.
Also Akerhaus has a Belle picture included in the meal, which is better for me, because I find Belle to be the best princess. :cheer2:

I would chose Akerhaus over Park Fare 1900 or CRT any day. CRT is overrated and food not so good. Park Fare is one place we never intend to go back to as CM's were rude and breakfast was mediocre at best. I have heard good things re Akerhaus and u will get Princess overload. Have a great trip.:woohoo:

Since CRT is now 2 credits we always do Dinner at 1900 park fare one night for Cinderella and then do Akershus breakfast one morning to see the rest of the princesses....This way we don't miss a day of TS dining!!

What about Ohanas, I think no matter where you pick you will enjoy it. Les face it, Park food is Park food, unless you go to the high end resturants in the hotels. Planning dinners so far out is stressful, hopefully everything will work out :santa:

I have a son and he loves eating in the castle...it feels special to him. We had a wonderful character experience at 1900 Park Fare Dinner (Cinderella came over our table and asked my son to dance with her and after the dance Prince C came over and made a big deal about it and then the step sisters wanted the attention from my son but he said he likes Cinderella better than them b/c she is nice)...dinner at 1900 Park Fare not so good. We went to CRT for breakfast and enjoyed our breakfast and my son loved it. He wants to eat dinner there next trip but I don't really like the menu but my husband said its not the eating part its the experience of being in the castle so just booked it.

I am booking CRT for the experience for my DD (she will be 4) ..My DD LOVES the princesses though..if you dont think the experience will matter to your DD..book one of the other princess dinners

If it truly is a once in a lifetime trip and you don'tmind spending two TS credits on CRT I'd vote for the castle simply because it is in icon. We did it once and it was neat but I'm not chomping at the bit to do it again. I think if I did I'd still pay for it OOP rather than burn two dining creditis on it.

I think a better use of your credits, as a PP has suggested would be to have a breakfast or lunch at Ashkurs to meet the bulk of the princesses (your DS may even enjoy a flirt or two) and then dinner at 1900PF because you not only get Cinderella but the comedy of the Tremaines.

Hope yiou have a wonderful time!

If you think this might be the only trip you take with your childres ot WDW, then I would definitely go with CRT. They will ALWAYS remember eating the in castle -- which the atmosphere can't be BEAT!! All the other options are good but they aren't the CASTLE!!! You can't pass up the castle! We have never been dissapointed with CRT -- but we have been disappointed with PF food.

1900PF was better for me, but like the previous poster said, you can't beat eating in the castle.

I personally love 1900 Park Fare. It's a really magical experience for everyone. Also Akershus has many of the princesses, so that is something to consider.

Ugh. I'm still on the fence. I thought about doing Akershus, but Presley doesn't really have much desire to see all the princesses, she's mainly interested in Cinderella. I'd do a Cinderella meal and Akershus (because *I* would like to see all the princesses! lol), but I don't think the rest of the family will want to do more than one princess meal.

Food quality honestly doesn't matter to me at all. I'm not there for the food, I'm there for the experience, ya know? I know that most people want the food to be great for that price, but I feel like I'm paying for the character interaction more so than anything. I know that's probably not a popular opinion.

Bleh. Decisions, decisions!

While I think Akershus is the "best" Princess meal....ie...good value.

For you though......Definately choose the Castle....Really!!! If you might not go back it is sooooo worth it. While I have been there 2x and have no real pull screaming to go back....YET....LOL.....You HAVE to go once!
Happy planning
Kerri

go for CRT,,,you cant beat the atomsphere,,,the food is great in my opinion,,,,and it is a once in a lifetime thing....especially if you dont think you will go back,,,:wizard:

We did the BBB before doing the CRT breakfast last may with my 4yo dd and 22 mth old ds and was worth every penny to eat in the castle and see the look on her face.Being dressed up as her fave princess and then getting the reactions when they would all come around to the table for a pic was well worth it.They were also very accomodating as my son has food allergies. This time around we are going to try akershus to meet Belle!

Just to throw another one in the mix. What about crystal palace. We haven't been for dinner but breakfast was very good and it might appeal to all of your kids because it had pooh tiger eeyore and piglet. And you wouldn't have to leave the park like you would for 1900.

I did CRT breakfast with my DD when she was 4 and it was a wonderful experience. Eating in the castle was amazing and all the pictures I have of her with the princesses is priceless!

I'm probably in the minority but I really enjoyed the food at the CRT as well.

if your daughter is all about Cinderella then she might really enjoy 1900 because they have a Waltz with the Prince and Princess, and alot of the smaller children go up and get to dance with them, plus Cinderella walks around the dining room vs just being in the lobby for pictures.
My kids (4 & 6) have done both and when I ask them which place they want to go to again they always say the Castle, it has left the longest lasting memories. I know this does not really help but I would choose the Castle (at lunch) if I could only do 1

oh, we're definitely doing crystal palace! we're doing lots of character meals, I just can't seem to narrow down the princess meal! lol
