Hows the food... are the selections standard or is there more variety compared to other Disney buffets? Is it like Chef Mickey's? Please help. I am trying to decide on this or CRT for dinner....

No, the food is disgusting. We ate there in January (pics and review in my link) and the characters were awesome, the hour wait past our ADR was not cool, the service was non existant and the food was terrible.

We always had a good meal here. And fun ! It is very similar to CM.
I wouldn't compare it to CRT. CRT is a 2 tbs it is very good.

We enjoyed our dinner at Park Fare in February. I haven't had dinner at CM, but I thought there was greater variety than at Crystal Palace. The food quality/taste was comparable to Crystal Palace.

We had good service and the characters were great. We thought the character interaction was much better than at our CRT breakfast. Prince Charming danced with my 3-year-old daughter, which was a big highlight of her trip.

No complaints about the food. We would return to 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

Hey thanks, everyone! I didn't see many pictures, so that is why I am asking... nice to know the character interaction is good... I have not done a buffet for dinner before -- only Boma, and breakfast at CP... so this would be new to me... the next question is if CRT is worth it for dinner vs. lunch...

Thanks!

I loved 1900 PF, it was actually one of my favorite meals of my last trip! The food was fantastic and the characters were great. I enjoyed it so much more than dinner at the crystal palace. I've never done lunch or dinner at CRT, but breakfast was great.

The food isn't as good as it was years ago, when it seems like there were lots of really good tasting food. It seems like the restaurant tried to go a little asian - not "standard" food that I recall at Chef Mickey's. I'd call the food "fair" now.

One of the stepsisters is fantastic - will have the whole room rolling with her antics.

It was the least favorite meal our family had. Service was terrible, characters WERE funny, but SLOW. We were there well over 2 hrs and 45 min just so we could see each character once, and we got there when it opened so there was no "back up" yet. Food was just okay, not great. Later that night 2 of us had vomitting/diarrhea.

We had each one of our kids pick a meal for our trip in February. My 16 year old daughter picked this one to have dinner with Prince Charming. We really enjoyed ourselves and laughed a lot. The food was fine for a buffet. We enjoyed it more then Chef Mickeys due to the character interaction. The guys in our group even had fun. We have not tried CRT.

From what I've read, most of the food does not sound very good to me at all, but we're not going there for the food. We are going for the characters. Hopefully that will be good!!

Hey there!! Thanks everyone! I think I am going to hold on to our CRT reservation and plan on the 1900 maybe for December.... Thanks for the feedback, it really helped to make the decision!!! :thumbsup2
