Has anyone been to this character dinner. It costs less than the Royal Table, so we are thinking of trying this instead. Is the food good & plenty of characters on hand? My 2 year old told me today that she didn't want to hug Mickey Mouse, but she did want to hug the prince. She thinks she's a princess, so I guess that makes since in her mind! I've also heard about a special glass slipper dessert you can order. Anyone know details & price?

We were there in September and the food was okay. Its typical buffett fare with the exception of the Strawberry Soup which was AWESOME!
The Prince, Cinderella, Suzy and Perla were all there. They were very attentive.
Its definately worth it for someone who wants to meet Cinderella and her Prince.
They do have the kids buffett with plenty of chicken strips, mini corn dogs, mac and cheese and pizza as well as the adult offerings.

This is the only character meal that I can think of that she actually CAN hug a prince. Cinderella, Prince C., Fairy Godmother and the mice are usually there. I really enjoyed the food. I think it's one of the better buffets. Lots of variety, great kids selection, good salads. Oh, good wine too! :drinking1

We really enjoyed this meal. The food was quite good. Cinderella, Suzie and Perla-the mice- were walking around to the tables. Jasmine was in the entry way available for pictures. The Prince was not there the day we went...word from the waitstaff was that he was too busy doing Cinderellabration. We were bummed not to meet him. We definely enjoyed and will definetely consider this for a meal choice next time we go back.

Well we had Christmas dinner there this past holiday and Wow it was worth every penny just for the interaction that we had with our girls......We were met with a very friendly CM who gav us a buzzer thingy then 5 min later we got to sit, were greeted in the front room by Belle, I think its usually the Fairy God Mother but whats better than Belle, it was a surprise for my older DD 5 and she fliped out.......Then we were seated and taken our drink request and instructed on were the food was and when to go and not to go and get our food....First came the Mice, which were adorable and my dd almost 2 loved them dearly, I believe its Perla and and for the life of me remember the other ones name, then came the momnet we had been waiting for Cinderella and she was wonderful filled with hugs and autographs and even commented on how beautiful DD 5 looked in her holiday dress.....We had dinner which was nice, I enjoyed it alot, but wished they had more choices for the kids......Then came Prince Charming and wow he was great, even kissed DD 5 on the hand........She said she would never wash her hand for the whole trip and that truly was the highlight of our trip........The restaurant was beautiful, My only 2 complaints were the noise level in the place, since it was full but it was X-mas nite, and the fact that we were so over dressed, when I thought it was business casual, I made everyone dress pretty again since it was X-mas ite but I saw people in shorts and flipfolps. If you cant get into the castle I would recommend this dinner....I believe they also have a Princess Character Dinning in Epcot but dont think Cinderella is there but the other princess's are............If you have any more questions go ahead and ask...... princess:

For prices I would go to Allearsnet.com they also have a menu, We paid for the Holiday meal and I beleive it was different from the regualr dinner.....

It is a little crowded and a little noisy. The food is (IMHO) better than average buffet food.

The little girls are so excited when Cinderella talks to them. Their faces beam with shiny eyes and uncontrollable smiles. Last month we saw two little girls (about 4&5) wearing princess dresses and Cinderella said, "Oh, what lovely dresses you have! Did the Fairy Godmother make yours, too?" They said, "yes." It was sooo adorable.

If I had a little girl, I would take her there.
:goodvibes

We loved this character meal! If you would like, you can pre-order the chocalate slipper dessert in advance from the grand floridian bakery. It costs about 14.00. We also ordered the dog bones dessert for ds. The kids love looking back at tthe pictures of their special dessert :teeth:

When we were there we saw Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, the mice and Goofy. I don't know why Goofy was there, I guess he was filling in for the Prince. They had Princess Minnie at the entrance. The food is excellent with a variety of choices.

Does anyone have the # for the Grand Floridian Bakery, so that I could order the chocolate slipper dessert for my dd? We will be eating there on May 1!!! pixiedust:

We just got back yesterday and we did the 1900 Park Fare on Wednesday. Cinderella, her Prince, and the mice were there. The food was ust ok, nothing special and it was loud. We had a bad server, it took forever to get our drinks. We would never go back here. The characters do go around to all the tables but they don't stay long. I would try something else.

I ate there last September and plan on eating at 1900 Park Fare this summer. The buffet and the experience was very good ! :thumbsup2

We ate at 1900 Park Fare dinner August 2005, and loved it, I do believe it was my son's fav meal. All of the food we had was really good, the Strawberry soup was amazing. The mice were lots of fun, our server was great, she recommended specialty drinks for all of us and said it was included with the dining plan (I guess that may have changed since then) and she was super sweet and friendly and I even admitted that not only were we on the dining plan, but we had the free dining plan (I know some people have complained they were treated with less attention but she seemed delighted for us). My DD7 (almost 8) told Prince Charming he was "just DREAAAAAMYYYY" and so we have a pic of him blushing. Priceless. We really enjoyed this meal and recommended it.
