1900 Park Faire character changes?

I hope that the characters stay the same as well - they fit in with the theme of the Grand Floridian, and is IMHO, the best character breakfast on property.

I just booked the breakfast at 1900 for next Sunday and the reservationist told me that it is Cinderella and her fairy godmother?

Dinner is Cinderella, not breakfast (though I have been there when Cinderella or Aurora once visited, several years ago).

Tink does not make appearances at any park other than the parade at DL so I think it is highly unlikely that she will be at 1900. I work at Park Fare and have heard NOTHING about this.

Anyone know where and when the character meal with the Toy Story cast opens? My DD would LOVE that! Any details appreciated. Thanks in advance, DISers! :grouphug:

NOOOO! Its the only place to see Alice! They cant change that!I was counting on it as a way to justify doing a split stay at GF...A member of my family is nuts about Alice. We were going to do the Alice room at the GF and then the Alice meal while Ds is at the Pirate Cruise.I really hope its not true!

No, I have pictures of Alice at Akershus lunch in December with my family... If the change happens, book lunch in Norway.

When I saw the title of this thread I got scared, because the Key reason why I love eating at the 1900 Park Fair for Dinner is because I get to have a character meal with Suzy and Perla and they are my favorite characters that come to DisneyWorld and it's hard to find them at the parks.

Anyways as for the Crystal Palace being a character meal for females and not males unless the males are little boys well I can see what you are saying, but I am a 29 year old male who loves Piglet and all the other Pooh characters. I have that Winnie the Pooh dvd that I watch all the time. When I adopted my little black female kitten I played a Winnie the Pooh tape that I had since I was 4 years old. This tape has a song that goes " I'm just a little black rain cloud " It's an audio tape drama so it's a little different than the way the song goes on the cartoon " Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree " Since Olive was a black kitten I was like she is my little black rain cloud :goodvibes

Also when I was at the Crystal Palace I took my Piglet plush toy with me because I wanted to show it to Piglet ( I was hoping he would be there ) > I left my table to go to the bathroom and when I started walking back to my table I noticed that Piglet was playing with my little plush toy :goodvibes I will be eating at Crystal Palace again, not sure when but it was fun to eat there. Also this seems to be one character meal that does not book up very fast so you don't have to plan in advance. Okay I just had to say that I really love Piglet and all those pooh characters :goodvibes

Anyways I agree with the people who said that Disney should do stuff more for the boys than the girls. I guess I am lucky since I happen to be an adult male who loves Piglet and who loves disney Princesses, and who loves the fairies from Disney films ect. > I must say I would love to see Merrywhether from Sleeping Beauty, Merrywhether is awesome :goodvibes He he there are some many things about me that make me one of a kind :p Many of the disney cast members remember me when I go back to DisneyWorld. I have a way of standing out so many of the cast members are able to remember me :goodvibes

I was simply pointing out that the rumored replacement meal is not a princess meal, no princesses scheduled. BTW - I have no children, so I'm not a "girl mom" or a "boy mom". I have a niece that we take sometimes, as well as three boys of different ages that belong to our good friends.

I don't see how the Mad Hatter is any more a "boy" character than say Stich, Mickey, Donald, or Tigger. As a preschool teacher for 15 plus years I can tell you that I know plenty of Peter Pan fans (boys) who would be very excited to meet Tinker Bell.

Disney schedules character meals that "sell well". My guess is that if the Pixar/Toy Story meal at MGM goes well you will see more adventure themed meals. You are correct that the only "boy" meal currently is Donald's and that is not a rousing success. Disney is only able to look at data for what they already have. I suspect that's why they hadn't jumped into the boy meals with both feet.

i was simply pointing out that there are to many girly meals. I didnt' mean for you to feel attacked (if you felt that way I'm sorry) I was just using your post as a stepping stone for mine. If it is a fairie meal it is more a girly theme than a boy theme. My son and other son's are getting tired of seeing girly themed meals. Like I said IF they decide to change the characters for the BF at 1900 then they should keep it unisex not girl or boy themed.

The reason donalds is not a success (if that's true or not I don't know) is because you can see those same characters and more at other places. Without the aggravation of the rude people at AK. I like donalds but I rather just go to the main building at the contemp to see the same characters (Mickey, Donald, Pluto and Goofy) because you get them plus you see more (minnie, chip and dale). It's a hassle to get into AK before it opens. people just don't move when you are trying to pass them. A couple of times trying to get in I said excuse me excuse me trying to make my way through, nobody moved. Finally I screamed excuse me we have ressies. Still people didn't move, they looked at us and just stood in the way. Finally I said to my mom softly OK IF THEY DON'T MOVE RUN THEM OVER (she's in a scooter). All of a sudden a path was cleared (She would never do that LOL) but if they could move hearing a whisper why couldn't they move when I said excuse me 10 times then finally screamed it. People are just rude. I know look whos talking lol I was rude as well but come on. are you gonna get in the park faster if you stand in the way of people who have ressies NO so move out of the way. Anyway, I hope i didn't offend you with my original reply.
