1900 Park Fair, breakfast, 5/29
Characters present: Pooh, Eeyore, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins (lobby only), Meg (lobby only)

This was my favorite breakfast. I would do this again without the characters. The characters were good though. The face characters spent a bit of time talking to the kids and made sure they all got good poises for pictures. The other characters came by a couple of times and played with the kids. This was at the end of our trip and by this time our toddler had warmed up to the characters. They played peek-a-boo, gave high-fives, and anything else he enjoyed. This is the meal to do if you want a variety of characters, have an assortment of ages, or a mix of boys and girls.

The food was really good too. There was a wide assortment of foods and quite a few I hadn’t encountered anywhere else in all our trips to WDW. Moreover, it all tasted wonderfully. We did this breakfast more of a brunch and it worked out wonderfully.

Our service here again wasn’t great. Just adequate. She was really good about pre-bussing. Maybe a little too good. There was a few times I had to tell her to leave a plate—our son was only in the bathroom, not finished. Refills of juice were hard to come by. We had to ask three times and waited quite a bit between asking again. If anything, I’d say she was over extended. Nevertheless, it wasn’t bad service, just adequate.

Who is Meg?

She's the bad girl turns good girl in the Hercules cartoon

Thanks for the positive review of 1900 Park Fare. It is my youngest's favorite meal, she requests it on every trip! We have such a good time here. Last summer, Tigger took her sandal off and pretended to throw it out the door! She still talks about that.

You mentioned quite a few unique dishes. What were they??? :goodvibes

I thought this might be nice for our last day.

Thanks,
penny

Visited 1900 PF for the first time this past November and thought it was great. The omlette station and the bacon - YUM! The character interaction was wonderful. Well organized compared to other character breakfasts'. Loved watching the characters in action, especially Alice. I WONDERed how well she would interact with us guests. I was pleasantly surprised.

Honestly, I am ashamed I can't think of what a lot of the dishes were. It was more foods that I haven't seen on other breakfast buffets (cheese blintz for example).

This is an excellent meal for your last day. I just can't say enough good things about it.

How does it compare to Chef Mickey's as far as food choices and quality? We went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast in Nov. and loved it. The variety of foods available was great and of course the atmosphere was a blast. Also what do they serve for dinner at 1900 Park Fare?

There is an updated menu on www.allearsnet.com site. The variety seems more exotic than Chef Mickey's.

My family has eaten at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and I found the character interaction to be wonderful but the food was mediocre. I was most disappointed with the fresh fruit selection. We are not buffet fans as a rule.

We are going to try Park Fare instead this trip. We kind of are trying a variety of characters with breakfast. First it was Pooh and friends at WL when they had one, then it was Chef Mickey with Mickey and the crew and next Mary Poppins, Alice and the Madhatter.

We were just there on 4/27 for dinner and we were thrilled! Characters present were: Cinderella, Prince Charming, Suzie, Perla, and the Fairy Godmother. The Fairy Godmother stayed out in the lobby, but the others circulated the table. We loved the atmosphere at the GF too.

The menu on the www.allearsnet.com site is very accurate. The Prime Rib was fabulous. The food was very good and they had a wide variety of children's choices.

I like Chef Mickey's for dinner and find it only so-so for breakfast. I do think the character interaction is good though. I definetly prefer 1900 Park Fair breakfast over Chef Mickey's breakfast. The characters are still great, and not just the characters you find everywhere. Well, Pooh & Eeyore, but none of the others. I didn't even know Meg came out, not that we would have missed her.

I'm glad to hear the positive reviews. We've never eaten here and plan to while DS takes part in the Pirate Cruise. We'll have a leisurely breakfast while he's out hunting for treasure.
