1900 or Shutter's for arrival night dinner?

I booked ADRs this morning and I had originally planned on 1900, but at last minute wondered about an earlier dinner at Shutter's as well. I booked 1900 since I know it will fill faster than Shutter's.

We're staying at CBR for 6 nights on deluxe dining (yes, I know it's too much food, I've done it before. But I can't stomach the idea of counter service anything for a week, and since we're local we don't care if we miss out on a lot of park time). 1900 of course seems more fun, and we've never been. But I'm not generally a fan of lunch/dinner buffets as there is rarely anything I eat (I don't eat meat or eggs and I'm allergic to mushrooms, which are the basis for the majority of cream sauces Disney uses, and cream sauce and mashed potatoes and salad seem to be the only reliable non-meat items everywhere). I think the dinner there sounds like a blast, but my kid isn't that concerned with princesses and is in fact scared of them most of the time.

I've never been to Shutter's and it is a bit out of our comfort zone food wise, but there is something for everyone on the menu. It won't be as entertaining as 1900, but to be able to swim and play and then just walk over to dinner at the resort is very tempting. I'm sure it's also more low key. I have two small children and a dog, I don't like super chaotic and I hear 1900 is the most chaotic of all.

So, should I keep 1900 or take Shutter's?

Take Shutters

We just spent 6 nights at CBR last week. If I were to go again I would definately plan on trying Shutters. It's never busy at all. Unfortunately we had dining reservations for restaurants at all of the parks but it would have been nice to plan on at least one quiet night at the resort to allow us a cozy meal at the resort and enjoy some swimming after a long day.

Shutters takes their last seating at 10pm so it's convenient.

We enjoyed Shutters 2 yrs ago. Especially if you're staying at CBR; it's convenient and good food. I always like to relax after the plane ride to Disney and save my energy for the parks the following days.

Surely you aren't taking the dog to the resort?

He's a SD, he goes everywhere. We're at WDW so often that many servers in our fav restaurants remember the dog and are excited when he comes back.

Ah, an SD makes sense. He's probably very well behaved, unlike my spoiled Boykin Spaniels whom I love more than most everything.

Don't tell him he's well behaved! I like to tell him he's an evil little ******* and I'm going to feed him to the cat
Nah, he's good and we need him, but he's a very smart breed and I don't particularly care for smart dogs. Before I needed a working dog, I'd always had dumb dogs. I like dumb dogs much more.
I often have servers completely floored when they find out there was a dog under the table. I'm not sure what he does down there, but I think he hibernates. Though since our little one has started eating solids, he spends a suspiciously large amount of time underneath his high chair...
