1900 or Chef Mickeys for Dinner?

Simple question, for dinner on my birthday? I've ate at both 1900 and Chef Mickeys for breakfast but never dinner. Looking for suggestions. I have Chef Mickeys booked now, but can change if needed....trying to decide.

I have had dinner at both and the food was very similar. I loved the chicken at chef mickeys and they had a better dessert bar.

Basically do you want to have dinner in a fancier setting with Cendy and the family or a more casual dinner with Mickey and the gang.

Well, you already know I'm digging the menu at 1900 more than at Chef Mickey's. :cool2:

I'm interested to see what sort of feedback the question gets.

We ate at both places for the 1st time last week. To me, both those places are about the characters, not the food. The characters at both places were great, so it just depends on who you want to see. We thought the food at 1900 Park Fare was decent. The restaurant was clean. We did have to wait for a long time for a table though. We got there about 20-25 minutes before our ADR and did not get a table until around 30-40 minutes after our ADR. As for dinner at Chef Mickey's, a lot of people love it. We did not. Again, we were about 20-25 minutes early, but they got us right in which was great. However, the night we were there, the floor of the restaurant (both around the tables and at the buffet) was so dirty that my DH did not even want to eat there. I have to admit, it was disgusting. We thought the salad and the desserts were great, but the rest of the food was nasty- and we aren't picky. In fact, my MIL actually threw up within a couple of hours of eating there, and says she will never go back. I watched a kid drop the tongs for the chicken fingers on the floor and much to his mother's horror pick them up and put them back in the food. She told the person behind the counter, but I'm not even sure they changed the chicken out. We won't go back unless DD begs. I don't want to scare you, maybe we just got a bad night. I know a lot of people rave about how great it is, so don't go just by what happened to us.

Hi,

We also ate at both these restaurants last week. I would have to say that the general consensus was that we all (there were 11 of us) liked 1900 better. The food was probably pretty similar (standard buffet- there were some items we liked more at Chef Mickeys and some items we liked better at 1900) but we loved the characters at 1900 much better. The stepmother and stepsisters were hilarious and totally worth going for. We were seated by our ADR times at both places although maybe slightly quicker at 1900. Good luck deciding!

Neither! We thought the food at both places was just horrible

Having had dinners at both, I'd say the food at 1900 was a bit better. However, if you want to dine out for your bday for the food experience, then I would look elsewhere and skip both 1900 and CM. If you're looking more for a character experience and not so much for the food, then CM would get the nod.

LOVE CHEF MICKEYS. In my opinion it's the best place to celebrate something. Don't get me wrong I like 1900 but LOVE CHEF MICKEY'S .
For breakfast & dinner.:worship::cool1::thumbsup2
