1900/GFcafe- pre-plated reviews????

I was told today when making Ressies for Dec that when they are back in there regular spot they will be set up as buffet again. How accurate that is ????I won't promise but she put me on hold for a few minutes tp ask.
 
Thanks everyone. I think it will be ok as long as they have some sort of beef. Hopefully hubby w/ like the prime rib. I'm usually ok w/ most anything. Worst case scenario... hubby w/ have to have a snack later on at the food court.

Found this Grand Floridian Cafe / Cinderella's Gala Feast menu on another thread:

Adults:
Appetizers:

Mushroom Triangoli - Mushroom raviolis in a mushroon broth topped with shredded vegetables.

Spicey Shrimp over Grit Cake - Shrimp sauteed in a chipotle cream sauce served over a parmesan grit cake accompanied with wilted spinach.

Strawberry Soup - this is the famous Park Fare chilled strawberry soup. It tastes like melted strawberry ice cream.

MIxed Green Salad - a mix of gourmet greens, (lola rosa, boston bib and frisse) held together with a thin slice of cucumber and drizzled with homemade raspberry viniagrette.

Soup of the day

Dinner:
Chicken Breast - Pan seared airline breast (has small wing bone in it) served with au gratin potatoes and asparagus with a red wine sauce.

Prime Rib - Slow roasted prime rib served with mashed potatoes and broccolini (a hybrid of broccoli and kale that produces a sweeter, less woody tasting broccoli)

Salmon Napoleon - Grilled Salmon served on a polenta cake with wilted spinach and a lemon caper butter sauce.

Shrimp and prosciutto penne pasta - Shrimp and prosciutto (salty, thin sliced ham) in an asiago cream sauce with asparagus.

Herb marinted tofu - Herb marinated tofu served over a mixture of stewed vegetables with a feta stuffed tomato on the side topped with balsamic drizzle.

Smoked Pork - Smoked pork served with cheesey gnocci and red cabbage.

Childrens menu:

Appetizers
mixed green salad - spring greens with tomato and carrots and ranch dressing.

Fruit cup - cantalope, honey dew, and grapes

Chicken noodle soup

Carrots and celery with ranch

Dinner:

Prime rib - same as adult, just smaller portion

Grilled chicken or salmon - served with brown rice and broccoli

Cheese or chicken pizza

Beef and Macaroni

Dessert:
Bread Pudding

Assorted desserts - carrot cake, chocolate mousse, fruit tart, key lime creme brulee, raspberry horns.
 
They will back in the normal location as a full buffet in early october - not sure of the exact date.

I think the menu sounds ok. Hubby can have the shrimp pasta and ask them to leave the proscuitto out or have the prime rib. Most everything looked good to me, especially the appetizers and the dessert.

Anyone have a review about the pre-plated breakfast? We have ate the buffet many times and loved it, but not so sure about the pre-plated version!
 
My heart almost stopped when I read the buffet was gone! We have ADR's in Dec. We love going to this restaurant when we have our family. :thumbsup2
Please post back when someone attends the buffet.
