We (myself, DH, DD17 & daughters friend 17) are going to WDW February 20th to the 25th. Both my daughter and her best friend will turn 18 in March (4th & 6th). Even though we won't be there for their actual birthday, we thought we might do something special for them while we are there. They are both disney fanatics and we rarely go without daughter's friend (she has been around for 14 years and is really part of the family). Any ideas?

We just got back from a weekend celebrating DD’s 16th birthday. The special things I planned were an Illuminations cruise, tea at the Grand Floridian and believe it or not, lunch at 50’s Prime Time. Had a cake on the boat and flowers in the room. It was a party of 8 so while the cruise was expensive, it was more worth it with a larger party.

Some of the other things I thought about doing but did not have the time for were a birthday dinner at the California Grill and stopping by Riverside to see Yeehaw Bob’s show.

My daughter took her 2 best friends to WDW this past July for her 18th birthday. Her actual birthday is Dec 23. The girls decided on a breakfast at the Castle to see all the Princesses, a great lunch at Prime Time 50s and finally another lunch at Teppan Edo. They just enjoyed going to all the parks. We were lucky enough to stay at the BC villas so the girls also had a wonderful time at Stormalong Bay. They were in the pool for hours! A Disney birthday is the best!:cake:

Thank you! We will also be at Beach Club. We were thinking illuminations cruise or maybe parasailing. I have a few more weeks to think about it.

Keep on coming with the ideas!

Be sure to get a birthday button for each girl when you check in. Disney understands that you are celebrating an occasion even when it's not on the exact date.

How about a spa trip at SSR or another resort for the complete pampering--massage (and/or) a manicure and pedi plus a nice dinner with special cake (pre-ordered) at restaurant you usually don't go to? (Prices get a little steep to both a massage and mani/pedi.)

One of the special things DD13 wants to do for her 16th birthday is a segway tour. She likes to plan ahead..:)

The Segway tour was fun, she should enjoy it. I wonder if it will change in three years?

:goodvibes

I'm in the midst of planning my DD's 21st. Myself, her and her bff (also turning 21, both b'days in May), and her bff's mom (a good friend of mine).

I booked 2 studio's at BWV, we'll have the 2 bathrooms between the four of us, and I'm thinking of having balloons or some sort of decor in the rooms upon arrival for the girls. :goodvibes.

So, anyway, I just booked a dinner at California Grill for an ADR 1 hour before Wishes, so we can be there to view the fireworks (they pipe in the music) we also plan to order a specialty cake for the girls.;)

Me and my friend are thinking we're going to purchase (before hand) two disney lenox trinket boxes and put a small gift inside each one, take them with us and present them to the girls at the dinner:cutie:

We are also considering the Segway tour that the girls want to do, and spa services for each of us.:cool1:

Then, of course, since they are celebrating 21 we plan to go to Jellyrolls for :drinking1and fun.

So, a special dinner, a special activity, the spa,a cake, a gift, some decorations are a few of my ideas. Enjoy!! And Happy Birthday to the birthday girl!

Thank you everybody you all have great ideas it is going to be hard to choose. I appreciate all the ideas.

Cirque du Soleil would be a great way to spend an evening. You could have dinner at DTD before and then head over to the show.

We did Cirque for DD 16th Bday. It was great. The night before we went to Hoop Dee Doo and boy did they embarass her. The two "hansome" guys got on either side of her and introduce her as 16 and never been KISSED as they each kissed her cheek. Got it all on video...never seen that shade of red before! It is a memory we will never forget!
