Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas. Since I have this whole week off from school and lots of time to kill; I'm going to make a list of characters, QS, snacks, rides, etc. that I have never experienced. After I came home from my trip in June and found the DIS, I realized I'd been missing out on a lot of great stuff. I'm going to break this up into different posts since I want to include pictures of everything, who doesn't love looking at pictures?!

Characters I'd like to meet:

-Peter Pan

I would love to meet this specific Peter. He's so freaking adorable! But he only flies around Disneyland

-Snow White

She was my absolute favorite princess when I was little. Apparently I watched Snow White literally every day for about 6 months. lol She's not my favorite anymore but I still would love to meet her!

-Jasmine&Aladdin

I think I actually met Aladdin my very first trip to WDW, but we were newbies then and didn't take a picture or get his autograph, so I have no evidence of actually meeting him

-The Tremaine's

They all seem hilarious together. I can't wait to meet them during my birthday dinner.

Oh and I almost forgot! I absolutely positively have to meet Flynn and Rapunzel. I want to meet them more than anyone!!! Tangled is now like my 2nd favorite Disney movie. Rapunzel and I have so much in common and Flynn is extremely hot. I know the line for them will probably be insane, but they are definitely worth it

I’ve heard the food here is bad…but I don’t want to go for the food, I want to go for the games! Come on, Pizza Planet is the coolest restaurant ever. (in my opinion)

-Sci Fi

I don’t know if it’s QS or not but this place looks amazing. I’m sure my dad would get a kick out of it too.

-Earl of Sandwich

I hear nothing but great things about this place! I’m thinking we’ll probably get this for lunch or dinner when we arrive.

Snacks:
-Dole Whip Float

These look amazing. I showed my mom this picture and told her we had to try them while we're there. Her response? "It looks fattening"....this is why I shouldn't take my parents to Disney
-Mickey ice cream bar

I feel like one should not go through life without having experienced at least one of these. lol
-Make your own Mickey krispie bar

These look sooo good. I can't wait to create my own.

That’s all I can think of for now that I haven’t done. I’ll definitely be looking for more snacks though, I have a huge sweet tooth, so it can be kinda dangerous while at Disney!
Also I finally came up with a good weekly countdown thing, so look for that soon

I'm going to post at least once a week, probably every saturday, about 2 or 3 things that happened in the past on that day in Disney history. Hope you all like this, I couldn't come up with much else! Today's will be the new years edition since it's new years...

So today January 1st in Disney history:

-1966-Walt Disney served as Grand Marshal of the Tournament of the Roses
Parade in Pasadena, California. He and Mickey Mouse (portrayed by Paul Castle) ride together in a white Chrysler Imperial. Sitting curbside with his parents watching the parade is a young John Lasseter - future Jungle Cruise ride operator and Toy Story filmmaker! Also sitting curbside is the Burke family - watching their very first Rose Parade. When Walt's vehicle stops to make a corner turn, teen Pat Burke runs up and shakes Mr. Disney's hand. Six years later Pat will begin work at WED ... becoming one of Disney's top Imagineers!
(Mickey Mouse was later the Grand Marshal in the 2005 Tournament of Roses Parade!)

-1978-Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade makes a rare appearance outside of a theme park, when it entertains fans during the halftime show of the annual
Orange Bowl college football game in Miami, Florida.

-2004-The Disneyland Resort presents a parade float inspired by the park's new attraction "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror," at the 115th Rose Parade in California. Standing at nearly 100 feet, "A Sudden Drop in Pitch" is the tallest float in Rose Parade history.

So I'm pretty sure this PTR has died and fallen off the face of the earth...but oh well. I'll continue anyways! This is mostly becoming like a journal for me now.

Today January 8th in Disney History...

1956:
Due to poor attendance, Disneyland's the Mickey Mouse Club Circus,
an attraction running since November 1955, closes. The first major addition to Disneyland, the circus was held in a pink and white striped tent (which was set-up in the area that later will house the Fantasyland Autopia). Capitalizing on the success of the Mickey Mouse Club TV series, the 75-minute circus show featured a cast of well-known Mouseketeers in various roles.

2006:
Adriano Bastos of Sao Paulo, Brazil wins the 13th Annual Walt Disney World Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 19 minutes, 44 seconds. Bastos is the very first three-time winner in the 13-year history of the
Florida marathon

We love Cosmic Ray's and Pizza Planet! And the Sci-Fi for that matter. It's not a quick service place but it's still really fun. They play all these really corny sci-fi movie clips and old drive-in commercials. My parents really got a kick out of them.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been updating this PTR. In all honesty I'm kinda bored with it, I haven't really done anything for the trip yet, too lazy I guess lol. I'll probably update more when it gets closer and I actually have something to write about. So yeah, I'm still alive. Lately I've been obsessed with any and all things Tron:Legacy. It's the best movie.ever. If you haven't seen it yet, GO SEE IT! I've seen it 6 times so far. yeah it's that good. I guess that's all for now. Only 2 months to go

Hi everyone! So we finally ordered the park tickets the other day. It makes me feel so much better knowing that everything is done and paid for now Haven't done anything else to prepare yet though. I'll probably start on a few t shirts if I want to, the next day I have off. I'm definitely going to make one for the day we go to epcot. I think I'm going to make a black tank with white letters that say "Mrs. Captain Li Shang" lol I want to talk to Mulan about Shang since my friends are tired of hearing about him, lol! I was thinking about doing family shirts for the plane ride too...but I don't really know if I want to match my parents anymore. hahah now that senior year is more than halfway over I'm kind of getting sick of my parents and being at home. I know I'll regret this later but oh well Hopefully my next update I will have started on my shirts by then! 1 and 1/2 months to go:cool1

Hello DISers! I'm finally updating this PTR, now that my trip is only 21, (yes 21!) days away I'm starting to get my butt in gear. For awhile there I had my mind on other things but now that the trip is so close, I'm starting to get really excited! Our ME stuff came a few weeks ago, but my Dads tag was missing. I called Disney and had to go through like 5 different people but I finally got it all sorted out, so hopefully his tag will come soon.

Our tickets also came in the mail too. Mine is the Minnie one

And today I finally made my LGMH. It was pretty easy although I didn't make the hole big enough at the top and had a hard time getting the rubber band through.

One thing I'm kinda worried about is the crowds now. I didn't think the crowds would be that bad in March but I keep seeing TR's and hearing from people that it's really crowded...My parents don't do well with crowds, so I'm worried they will get all upset about that. Oh well, I told them if they want to they can go back to the room if they're tired and I'll just stay and do what I want by myself!

I've made an outline of what I want to do each day and oh my god there is a lot for each day! I'm gonna try and not get bent out of shape if we can't get to something, but I know this is probably the last time I'll get to go for awhile, so I want it to be a good trip you know?

Another thing that's bugging me is that our departing flight leaves at 7:35 in the morning I keep telling my dad that this is a bad idea but he keeps insisting that there's probably nothing we can do. I just know that this will cause major problems, we're going to be so cranky already after spending a whole week with each other and we'll probably have to wake up at around 4 or 5...yeah that's not gonna happen. I was hoping our last day we could sleep in a little, eat breakfast, go to DTD one last time, and then pack up and leave in the late afternoon. So I don't know...hopefully that will get worked out somehow. That's all I have to update now, I'll probably start packing and maybe show you all my outfit plans next week!

As far as crowds go, don't worry about it. Yes, it's going to be busy but we've gone a lot over spring break and it's definitely tolerable. You'll be fine!

well that's good to hear! we've only ever been in the summer so this is definitely going to be a lot different to us.

Good morning everyone! Today's single digit day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I only have 9 days to go! It seems like just yesterday we still had about 130 days left! Not much to report on, I checked in online last night. That took me forever till I realized my hotel reservation wasn't on my wdw account therefore it was showing nothing to check in for glad I finally figured out that problem!
So far I've completed about 15% of my packing, lol. So I will definitely finish that up probably during the week as I am going out of town today and won't be back till Sunday. I think the rents are finally starting to show some signs of excitement about the trip which is a nice change. I think by next weekend they might even start to show some rare signs of happiness about going too!
Well that's all I have to report on now. Hopefully I can take some outfit pictures soon and share those with you all. Have a great day everyone

I'm getting super excited now, I can't stop thinking about it I'm getting a little worried though as they are calling for snow tomorrow. I really really really hope the flight doesn't get delayed. I might freak out if that happens Oh well we'll just have to go with whatever happens I guess. I’m pretty much done packing now, so all we have to do is wait. Pretty sure I won’t be getting any sleep tonight though.. I guess this is the last time I’ll update this PTR so hopefully you all enjoyed it! I’ll start my TR as soon as I get back. I promise it will be more exciting and have much more pictures than this PTR. I know it was kinda lame, lol.
Tomorrow’s gonna be a long day but I’m so excited!!!! Talk to you all after I get back!

I'm back!! Although the post trip depression is hitting me pretty hard, I don't know if waking up at 4 this morning is what did it, but I've felt pretty sick all day too The trip was absolutely amazing though. It poured the entire day both Monday and Thursday but hey we still made the best of it and did so much in the 6 days we were there! I will forever remember this birthday trip and it has made me want to work for Disney even more now. Didn't think that was possible! lol

I will be starting a TR probably tomorrow so please join in if you'd like! I took almost 700 pictures so it will hopefully be a very interesting TR

Just wanted to share some good news I found out today....

I got accepted to CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!!!
It was the only place I applied. I absolutely love it there, everything is perfect about it, the dorms are awesome, the school is gorgeous, its right next to Busch Gardens, and it has an awesome business school!!! I'm one step closer to my goal of working at Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
