Your plans sound very exciting! I am not terrible familiar with the possibilities of the Wilderness Lodge though. Why don't you tell a CM there and ask where a good spot might be to propose there? Come back and share with us afterward too!

I, too...am TERRIFIED of heights (in fact I refused to go out on the California Grill Observation and ruined his first attempt of proposal).

Back to the issue at hand.....I can think of a couple of place at WL....

1. there is a little known about fireplace directly above the entrance (ask a CM to direct you)

or

2. the beach on the other side of DVC is romantic!

So I was hanging out with a friend that is in on the secret, and we went to the lodge to talk about the plans. Come to find out, she's scared of heights, but she said she's willing to pitch in for something closer to the ground.
The only two things I can think of, is the wishes boat cruise or a wagon ride at ft wilderness that ends up on bay lake to watch the fireworks. Do you know of any other romantic spots at the resort?

I LOVE the wagon ride idea!! You could pop the question right when you reach Bay Lake, it would be so romantic! That idea definately gets my vote. You could even arrange for champagne to be at the ending spot and also ask the wagon driver in advance to take a photo for the proposal!!
