I had my phone interview on Weds and was offered the job assuming my background check came back ok. Now I know that it had to. No problems there! Was told that I should receive some paperwork the next day. I never did. Still waiting. What' going on?

Also I do not have a 2nd line. I called and they want $37 activation fee, $138 for jack installed and $20/per month. Is that insane?

I was thinking of trying to see if I could pull it off with one phone line.

During training Thurs/Fri this week we took live calls. They STRESSED to us that we MUST have a SECOND phone line.

I agree those prices are crazy...are there any other options in your area? If not, call back speak to a supervisor explain you have been a good customer. I am paying about $15 a month for my second line, no activation fee. I had a jack available so I didn't need one installed, however they told me it would be $30 if I need one installed or if he had to run lines throughout my house.

When I say "second phone line" I mean a dedicated line for 1-800 Flowers use only...a basic no frills line. I, myself have a home line, 2nd line & my DH & I have cells. I believe I read in your previous posts that you had cells (instead of a home land line) & had a line installed exclusively for 1-800 Flowers use correct? If so that is fine. They don't want you using your main line & getting knocked off because of call waiting or interupted if someone picks up an extension etc.

Ok, I have to ask...how do you handle Potty Breaks? During an eight hour shift I can imagine one might need to visit the restroom, just wondering how this works.

I am back to the whole..getting paid thing again. I was "practicing" logging onto the system to make sure that I was all set for my orientation on Monday. And I got to thinking..If i can log on anytime..as of right now..How do they know when to pay us? Makes me nervous. I would hate to put in any hours somewhere and not get paid correctly. Have they addressed this in training to anyone??

I believe I heard it's only when you are logged into the phone system as well. Plus I assume they are trusting that you work the hours you agree to and then check to see that you are logged in during those hours. But I could be wrong.

Nervewracking before you actualy do them...but fine. You do alot of mock calls prior in training.

You are able to click a button that will stop calls coming in to be able to run to the bathroom. During training halfway thru you get a 20 min break. If you have to go just post in chat NC, which means nature calls LOL

You have to log into citrix, avaya & the phone system. Once you click login on the phone system that starts your shift and lets them know you are ready to accept calls. There is a button to push if you have a meal break that doesn't log you out but does tell them you are on break. If you log in late they know and it effects your incentive pay.

Yes 401k, no insurance & yes on the paid time off. Plus the 30% discount. They will explain everything the first night of training.

Can I whine a little?

My headset phone has a hum so they sent a replacement and it has a hum too. We have no hot water today as the pilot light in the heater won't light. We can't use the water anyway because the sewers around here are backing up into the basement due to all the rain we are getting. I have a runny nose, sore throat and upset stomach. My 2yo has a cough and my other two have runny noses. I start my training tonight- is it too soon to call in sick!?!!

Hi! I am new to the DIS forum, but also just received my paperwork. I will be sending it back today. I see mixed reviews but figure its worth a try! I do have a problem that I have not seen discussed here though. One of the things they said we needed was Internet Explorer 6. I have had Internet Explorer 7 since it came out. I have been trying to get Internet Explorer 6back but have not been able to. Does anyone else have IE7???
