180 plus ten question

It is 180 days before checkin plus ten days into your vacation. So if checkin is the 16th, you would be able to book ADRs for the 16th through the 26th.

This is how I interpret it. Since it's 180 + 10, my thinking is that at 180 days, you can book for your check in day plus another 10 days, which would actually include 11 days of ADRs :).

A couple of weeks ago I was able to book 11 days worth of ADRs when my 180 day window opened. This included dinner on the 11th night.

I initially tried to make ADrs using the new WDW website but it would only recognise my arrival day. So I gave up and rang instead and got everything I wanted. I can't speak highly enough of the service I received on the phone. However the woman on the phone did seem as surprised as me that I was able to make bookings for the 11th day (I'm not sure even Disney employees are 100% certain about how the 180 + 10 is calculated).

Also, a side-note incase it helps anyone, those 11 days covered a split stay under 2 different reservation numbers (i.e. 5 nights at BWV, followed by 6 nights at AKV). I was worried that I'd only be able to book 5 nights worth of ADR's to start, so asked here on the DIS about whether split stays affected the +10. It was another area of ADRs that people were unsure about and I got some very contradictory answers. It seems, however, that split stays do NOT affect the + 10.

Lastly, when I called at 180 days to make my ADRs, I also made enquiries about Pirates League for the second day of my vacation. I was fully expecting to have to call back the next day to make this booking, but the dining reservations woman booked it for me then and there. It was almost as if the Pirates League was being treated as a 'plus ten' just like the dining. I'm not sure if this is always the case, or I was just receiving some pixie dust, but I thought it was worth mentioning incase it helps someone else.

Excellent info! Thanks for posting. Both PL and BBB also follow the 180 + 10 rule. :goodvibes

You're welcome :-)

Good to know that PL follows the 180 + 10 rule. There doesn't seem to be much information out there about this, so I wasn't sure.
I have the PL booked for my son for 3:30pm on a (presumed) MNSSHP night. I can't wait!

I have tried to figure this out too. Is it 10 or 11 days TOTAL that you are able to book?? 10 INCLUDING your check in day, or is it your check in day plus the next 10 for a total of 11??? I haven't been able to find an answer. When my 180 day mark gets here I am going to try to book an ADR for day 11 and see if it works. Smitch, I will let you know my findings.....:rotfl:

Okay, today was my 180 day mark. I found that I was able to book my arrival day PLUS the next 10 days for a total of 11 days.

Awesome! Thanks for the update! We're you able to get the 180+10 to work on the new site? Most importantly, did you get everything you wanted? :goodvibes

I booked 180+10 (11 days) recently. That included PL, Harmony Barber Shop, and Pirate Adventure. The Pirates & Pals cruise wasn't in the system yet.

The next day (179 days from check in) I booked day 12.

I couldn't get the new site to give me past 180, so I used the old site. It worked great. And, is very fast when compared to the new site!

I used the old site to make the adr's but I did check the new site afterwards to see if the plus 10 worked there as well and it did. And yes, I was able to book everything I was hoping for, thanks! :goodvibes
