180 plus 10 what?

Ok, so I wish the people that you talked to at disney dining were more consistent. I have never had a problem with the 180 + 10 thing. I leave on November 18th, counted backwards and thought I was in the clear, safe to make my dining. I first tried calling on Wednesday night because I wanted to make some reservations and had problems then too. I practically had to beg for LTT and was also told at that time that Ohana wasn't taking breakfast reservations anymore (I posted a thread about that )

Then I just called this morning and was told that I wasn't at my date yet and to call back on May 22. I asked about 180 plus 10, and I have no idea what her answer was, I just said that I would call back. Honestly it sounded like I woke her up. I'm really frustrated. I have never had trouble like this before making my dining plans. I think my friend is right and I should just have my travel agent do this but I convinced him that it is part of the magic in getting excited for your upcoming trip. Yeah, it's just kind of stressing me out!

I didn't do you calculations, so you may be right, but the 180 plus 10 doesn't mean 190 days.....its means 180 days from the 1st day of your vacation and the 10 are the actual days of your vacation, therefore, you don't have to call for each day for every day of your trip.

This explaination probably is confusing too. Perhaps someone with more coffee in them can explain better.

ETA: May 22nd is your day....there is a dining calculator under Dining.

The official adr date is 180 days from your check-in day and you can make up to 10 days worth of ADRs on that day. It's not 190 days from check-in. Since you're checking in on Nov. 18th your ADR day is May 22nd.

Yes some have reported that they were allowed to make adrs before their 180 day mark but this is rare and usually due to a CM not knowing the rule.
