Check the projected crowd calendar showed a 5.6(outa 10) and took a day off work to ride 2.0

The line did get down to 70mins during one of the parades, but I chose to come back another day.

Just giving crowd update.

We were there yesterday as well. The standby line was posted as 70 min. at about 1:30.

Looks like they were gone at around 9am this morning as well according to an app I have. It's making me nervous for the level 10 park levels I will see at the end of July. I guess I'll be happy and lucky if I can get on once a day with fastpasses.

Good question Pink B .... It would be sad if one would need a fast pass in order to collect a fast pass .... :faint:

We were there yesterday too for a short while (ds ended up with the stomach flu ). We got there around 9 AM and the standby line for ST was 200 minutes :scared1: and the fast pass return times were showing 7:40-8:40. DL seemed more crowded than I expected.

Not to downplay the long wait times for Star Tours, as I'm sure they will remain high throughout the summer. But there are some factors that contribute to excessive wait times especially for a TUESDAY.

A quick glance at the AP Blockout Calendar shows that the lowest tiers of APs--SoCal Select and SoCal--are blocked out everyday this week and next week except Monday and Tuesday (and Sunday for SoCal AP). So there are probably many AP guests getting their Star Tours fix while they can. They have no other option.

And FPs may be gone sooner today and Thursday, because DL closes at 9pm tonight and tomorrow.

Again, I don't want to downplay what will be long lines for Star Tours this summer, but there are tangible reasons why Monday and Tuesday were probably more crowded than some might expect.

As a check today (now that the SoCal and SoCal Selects are blocked out), according to the DLR Lines App (TouringPlans), the Star Tours line was 80 minutes at 2:20pm this afternoon. I hope everyone gets to ride Star Tours in their upcoming trips. It's a wonderful, wonderful update to the attraction! :goodvibes

Re: the on a tuesday part.

Remember that the locals- so cal and so cal select esp. are NOT blocked this week and the next two weeks on Monday/Tuesday. So this was actually very expected on the parks end...hopefully by the end of june when the selects get blocked again, it eases a bit during the week *but* only a bit, I'd presume.

I am SO freaking glad we didn't book at the Peacock Suites... and instead went with the Paradise Pier... any chance you can stay on property (even for 1 night of you trip?)... they have the BONUS two fast passes for hotel guests... two per person per stay... and supposedly a hotel guest only fast pass access line and also early entry to DCA for the mermaid fast pass...

I used the hotel fastpasses last weekend for Star Tours, and noticed many other guests also using them. Disney might be reducing the fastpasses from the Star Tours machines, to keep the fastpass wait reasonable.

The resort guest early entry for Little Mermaid is a great benefit, and I was able to ride 4 times in 30 minutes :thumbsup2

Ouch, I'm worried since we'll be there like that in two weeks. Assuming the locals will be coming in droves since it's the last few days where it isn't blocked like that for the summer? Oh well I'm hoping they will all be at ST so at least some of the others rides won't be too bad.

We were there Tuesday as well. The shortest posted time we saw was 70 minutes and people were streaming into the line. The longest posted time we saw was 220 minutes:scared1::scared1:. At 9:30 pm the posted time was still 110 minutes, but the line looked shorter, so we got in line. We were on in 55 minutes! Loved it, by the way.

According to my i-phone app, fastpasses are already gone for today (at 8:30 AM!)

How is that possible? I thought the park didn't open until 9 am today. I guess anything is plausible, but my guess is the fastpasses will look as though they are all gone if the park isn't open. Or you're not looking from the Hawaiian Time Zone, are you? :rotfl:

Today is a Magic Morning day! :) That's so amazing - how they ran out by park opening hours!
