180 days out but can't make ADR's

I'm 180 days out and I tried to make our ADR's online. I was only able to get one reservation for the date/time we wanted. I called Disney dining thinking maybe they could search for me more quickly so we could see what days/time during our trip each restaurant of choice was available. For every restaurant I gave her she said that all their reservations were not open or available yet.

:confused3 What in the world?

I have never had this problem when booking ADR's 180 days in advance. Is this something new? Why would Disney NOT have all the reservation spots available at the 180 day mark?

I'm confused and rather upset that I've wasted my VERY EARLY morning attempting to make reservations that aren't even opened up yet; even though they should be.

We have been counting down the days to hit our 180 days out to make these ADR's and the only advice the Disney rep could give is for me to keep checking back every day to see if the reservation spots are open and can be made.

Any insight on what is going on with ADR's? Anyone else have this problem lately?

I just made all of my ADR's on line without any problems. I did have to select a different time for a couple of them, but always within the hour I wanted. Can you try again on line? Maybe they were still loading times this AM?

I remember when we went at Xmas one time, some of the popular character meals were already booked by my 180 days, so it can happen....

Hmmm....I'm not sure. I can tell you when my 180 + 10 was up, I had trouble making a reservation at Garden Grill, because "they hadn't opened their reservations yet", but no trouble with any others. I asked what this meant, and they told me that sometimes they held some spots at certain restaurants for things like Candlelight Processional packages....although I realize that's not the case for your 180 mark.
My only suggestion is make sure you have your confirmation number for your hotel reservation entered. I think you can only make ressies at the actual 180 day mark,(so a day at a time), and not 180 + 10, if you aren't a WDW hotel guest.
Hope you get all the places you want!

180 + 10 is for wdw resort guests only.

I was able to look up ADRs up to 03/21/2013. You should have no problems making ADRs up to and including that date!

Are you staying on-site? If you aren't, that is why you are only able to make one reservation for one day (day 180).

The 180+10 day rule is only for on-site guests.

OP's tag line says AoA in March, 2013, so in 180 days, they will be on site.

I have been trying to make reservations at Le Cellier, garden Grill, and Ohana since Tuesday for March 17th-23rd and have had issues with tables not being loaded. I was able to get LC today, but I still haven't gotten the others. Frustrating.

There are posts everywhere about this. There are a ton of restaurants not loaded into the system at the 180 day mark. Same was true when I made our reservations for Christmas. Almost everything in Epcot was not yet in the system. They claimed it was held back for the candlelight processional packages to be loaded, but the same has happened for many locations ever since.
Kind of eliminates the benefit of staying onsite as there is no +10 advantage anymore. :confused3

We'll be at WDW March 14-21 so I hit my 180 days last weekend. The only ressies I was not able to get were for Le Cellier (nothing available my entire stay) and Chef Mickey's on the 21st. I've been checking every few days and today, like another posted said, Le Cellier opened up. :cool1: No luck yet on the 21st for Chef Mickey's but I will keep checking.

Good luck!

I'm wondering if they "release" reservation times in stages. So they open up certain ADRs that are available one week and the next week they open up another 50 spots (as an example), the next week they open up another 25, etc.

I was moving around ADRs and two days ago looked for Le Cellier ADRs for the week of January 28th and nothing showed up. I checked 3 or 4 nights in a row. Yesterday I checked again and found multiple reservations for a couple of the nights. That many people couldn't have cancelled overnight I wouldn't think.

I hope enough people complain to convince them to move the ADR window back to 90 days to prevent this. Probably wishful thinking on my part though.

Why would this be a good thing?

Most people don't plan trips 6 months in advance. The 90 day window leveled the playing field a little. I totally understand why those who plan their trips a year ahead of time like the 180 window. We're not in that group, which is why I prefer 90 days.
