180 day mark today and i'm disappointed....

My 180+10 date is tomorrow morning. I will be online at 6am and on the phone and dialing at 6:58am. Hopefully I will be successful!

I couldn't get BOG for our October trip but MNSSHP is being held 4 nights that week. I bet MK closing early for MVMCP could likely be limiting the number of available ADRs for your trip? Kind of frustrating that from Sept-December such a popular restaurant is closed so many nights every week for parties. I am assuming that BOG is not open on party nights.

BOG was available for a MNSSHP night. I had it booked for a party of 6 for Oct. 29th. for 5:00PM. We found out it was a party night last week and cancelled it. We don't do the parties anymore and did not want to be in MK on a party night. I'm sure I made someone happy. We booked HDD instead. We did BOG 2 weeks ago and didn't really like it, but thought we might try again in October. No one in our group really wanted to go back so I let it go. I had no problem booking this reservation at the 180+10, I had many times to choose from and many days....not sure why the problem now except for the holidays.

Years ago when we started going CRT was always hard to get into... now it's BOG. Our 180 window opened last week and out of 7 nights the only time I could get BOG was at 9:20 the last night we're there. The park closes at 10 that night and I'm kind of dreading that late dinner res.

So I booked breakfast at Chef Mickey's for the same morning and we're going to hit BOG for lunch early in the trip. That should be sufficient for us and the kids. If so I'll cancel the dinner res and we'll eat CS for dinner and use our TS for the breakfast with Mickey.

All this said... when our window opened the online system did not work at all. I did everything the next day and even called once to get a res for Thanksgiving bc the website said what we wanted wasn't available and I didn't believe. CM helped us get it (but she couldn't help with BOG).

For those who said that they couldn't get the restaurants or times that they wanted for early December, I'm curious what restaurants you had problems with. I had trouble getting Ohana for the time I wanted at 180+7 but the only other times that I had problems with were all for Epcot restaurants. I'm wondering if they hold back some times for the Candlelight Processional Dining Package.

My best advice is check everyday till you get what you want. I know it may be a bit of a hassle to do everyday, but I have always had what I wanted open up! Sending pixie dust your way!!! pixiedust:

Thanks!!! That's just what I needed to hear. I know it will all work out. Just been a stressful day. I want to get it all settled and start to get excited again. :)

Who knows if this is correct, but the CM said they didn't load certain times due to the CPP, but that they would be available in late August. She also said they are changing up the CPP this year, so that is why they are not loading all the restaurant times. Might not be accurate at all.

This is exactly what I experienced. My window just opened today and noticed that there was no or little availability for lunch or dinner at many Epcot locations. I think they are holding inventory until they suss out the CP packages. I will try again as soon as the CP dates are announced. :thumbsup2

My window also opened today....I got everything I wanted including BOG at the time I wanted on a MVMCP night.
The only thing that was an hour different was Biergarten for lunch! I was really surprised at that!
I still have to book the rest for our trip because we're staying 14 days...

I was on-line using the old site at 6am....

I'm sorry to hear so many people had issues. I'd definitely say to keep checking, literally numerous times a day, every day. It's a PITA but you never know what you might be able to get!

anyone would have difficulty booking that far out but the threads are filled with tales of woe. Most have to do with the on line system. We tried booking ours on line and they showed no availability anywhere but when I called member services at DVC I got everything I wanted except for O'hana. We ended up eating late.

I'm guessing that travel agents are contributing to the problem and free dining makes it even worse. The holiday times are sold out fast as well :(

I know what you mean.. today was our 180 day... I was logged in at 6am... did get most of the places I wanted with the.times a little off... Except for bog..... Not one opening our entire trip at any time. Seriously how are ypu supposed to book bog? are people hackkng into the system or something ? ;) I thought I would have an advantage with the 180+10. Oh well guess we will try for lunch!

The CM told me that people will book certain restaurants as many times as they can for breakfast or dinner until they decide which day they want to go then, as time gets nearer, they will cancel the ones they don't want.

While that used to be a very common practice, it has gotten harder because the system will not allow you to book two reservations for different places within two hours of each other. There are always loopholes, but the new CC hold system and booking time feature has helped to keep this from happening as often.

I think scard was referring to the fact that the restaurant won't be open all evening, because the park closes early to the general public. With BOG being a CS for lunch, the parties take up a substantial portion of time the restaurant would be open if not for the parties. At least, that's how I understood her post.

My call in is tomorrow! I'm guessing I won't get BOG, but hoping something will open up. There is only one feasible night we can go there too, which will be Wednesday, December 4th. I'm in Chicago, so am I correct in thinking I can login to book at 5 a.m. my time and call in 6 a.m. Florida time?

Don't give up! I think there is something wonky with the system (both on the phone and online) so I wouldn't assume they are booked. I took my chances on my 180th day and slept in instead of getting up at 6am. I got everything I wanted except for an 8am pre-RD Crystal Palace. The next day, I checked online and there it was! 8:10am CP! I also found BOG availability for several days after my 180 day mark, so don't give up easily on that either.

On a final note, I called more times today that I can count on both fingers and toes. I still can't use the online reservation system for dining. At one point I was accidentally transferred to a CM IT desk. The man who answered was very kind and honest as I told him that I wasn't a cast member.

He told me that the system has been messed up for a long time and he was sorry. After a longish conversation, I asked if I logged into my disney experience tomorrow if things would work better for the +10 days where I could tweek my ressies.

He told me that it has been happening for a very long time and in his "fantasy world" he would come to work tomorrow and it would be fixed but, he very seriously doubted it.

I came away from the conversation with him that it was a new system, kinks needed to worked out and they wouldn't be for a long while....

So, I have to call and answer all those questions, hold for however long it takes to get a CM to change anything with my reservations.

This is way to much work for a vacation to Disney....especially at the price I'm paying for a two bedroom at BLT.

Online account wouldn't allow me to make ressies at 5 (central time) this morning even on the old website so, I waited to call at 6. Held on the phone for 40 minutes before I got a CM. I didn't get one ADR at the time I wanted. Disappointed is an understatement. I cant believe how difficult it was.

What did you want to get? Maybe we can suggest other great places.

This is true! Alot of ressies will open up a day or two before.

I got online this morning at 6am and was able to get all the reservations that I wanted by 6:20am! We are having dinner at BOG on 12/7 at 5:20pm. I was shocked that I got the time I wanted (well close enough to 5:30pm). The only thing I had to change was the dates for O'hana dinner and Chef Mickey dinner.

Good luck to everyone!

Yes, that is what I was trying to say. Every night there is a party, all those possible ADR's after 7PM are not an option. Just my thoughts that BOG is likely much harder to get during the months the parties are held as opposed the rest of the year. and as PP stated other MK restaurants are open as TS for breakfast and lunch which BOG is not.

I try daily for an ADR, still have over 4 months.

Lucky I could not get the online system to work for me this morning. So no BOG for us.
