180 day advance reservation question

Made most of our reservations last night for next June's trip. When we got to Calif Grill the only times after 7:00 that were available were 7:20 or 9:20. Got the rest fairly close to the times we wanted.

My question is with the new 180 day advance are there that many people booking that far in advance or does Disney only open up a number of time slots at a time and more will be open between now and then?

During our last trip I tried to get an ADR at Ohana's for 5:00 pm but they said nothing was available until 9:20!

So we decided to just "show up" and we were able to get seated immediately.
