I think 90 day sis better. How awkward to have to plan six months out!

Not awkward at all! I prefer the longer planning period. Especially with 3 small children, any jump I can get on planning our vacation the better.
I am thrilled to see it going back to 180!![]()
As long as park hours are out, how is 90 any better? I'd prefer to plan 180 so I can get a jump and actually obtain some ADR's that I want without taking off-times and crappy locations.
I like 90 days. It's too hard to plan 6 months out what and where to eat. If you happen to go more than once a year it can crazy. Now I'd like to see the hours posted at 120 days so you could have a month to plan. I don't know why or how they can go back to 180 when they've failed miserably to get hours out at 90 days.

Doesn't do a bit of good if they don't release hours before the 180 days.
I'm having a hard enough time planning ADRs for less than 30 days out (not too much trouble getting the ADRs, just in deciding where I want to eat a month from now- I just don't usually plan my life to that level).
As for the longer time (180 vs. 90) it doesn't make any difference in the places or times you get. Booking at the beginning of the window is booking at the beginning of the window, regardless of when it starts.
Cheers.
I've updated my ADR calculator to handle the 180 days and the change date - if anyone wants to test it and make sure I've got all the finer issues about the change handled, feel free:

Well, it tells me I can't call until Oct 27th for dates in December 2009. Up until then we can still call at 90, so that part is off.
You know better at 30 days than at 180 what you want to eat any given day? I don't get how 180 or 90 makes a difference in "I don't know what I want to eat that day"?
It makes a big difference in 180v90. The people that have a trip planned 6 months in advance get a jump on those that either haven't booked or don't plan that far ahead. When the window was 180 days, I was able to get my choice of dining location and times a LOT easier than with 90 days.
