I was directed to this board for my question. If I book a 3 or 4 night stay at Caribbean Beach before moving to my timeshare do I still get 180 + 10 days or has this changed recently? Also if it is a 4 night stay do I get 180 + 10 from my last night as well or only from the first day of my stay?

1. 180 + the length of of your onsite stay so from check in day through check out day of your Caribbean Beach stay.
2. It will be one day at a time once you move to your timeshare because there is no 180 + 10 for offsite stays. You can book 180 days before the day you want to eat at the restaurant.

Thanks for letting me know. There are articles I've read (including on DIS) that indicated that the 180+ 10 was allowed even if you only stayed one night. It was some kind of loop hole travel agents would suggest to off site guests. But the articles were old and also included similar outdated information for getting FP+ at 60 days + ticket length.

Before it was 180+10 no matter how long your reservation was but they closed that loophole years ago - before FP+ even really got going.

It changed three or four years ago. It’s always been advertised as “180+length of stay, but the online system was simply coded to allow +10. They fixed that a while back and people with split stays have been complaining ever since.

Let me get this straight, 180 out plus length of stay. So 190 days before I can start making ADR's, or in my case 180 plus 4, 184, because we are only staying for 4 days. Correct??

You can start making ADRs 180 days before your check-in date. If you're staying on-site, you can make all your reservations for your 4-day stay on that same date. I hope that makes sense, and I hope it helps!

Thanks, I now understand.
