180+10 rules with two reservations

I hate to ask this AGAIN... but I keep seeing short threads with one or two responses that all conflict each other. I don't know why, but I'm hoping for some sort of clarity here!

* We have a room only at POP on the first night. The next day, we start our 8 night package with no dining plan at Poly.

** When I hit the 180 mark for the room only night, how many days of ADRs can I make?

Possible answers:
1. Only the one night tied to the room only. Don't qualify for +10 because the resort reservation is only for one night and is immediately followed by another, longer reservation/package. On the following day, 10 nights.

2. The first night only. On the following day, 8 nights only. This assumes that +10 is actually "up to 10", and in reality, is only the number of extra days equal to your length of stay. [This seems incorrect, but more believable than #1]

3. The first night + 10 days. Regardless of how long your reservation(s) is/are, you always get 10 days after your 180 mark if you are staying at Disney resort on day 180.

4. Mileage will vary depending on whether you do it online/phone. This means that there's probably a policy of some sort, but phone CMs have the ability to override something because they can see the two reservations and understand what's going on.
5. Some ridiculous situation I've missed.

I understand that the new website isn't currently allowing +10. Let's ignore that for right now and assume that it will be working right when I make my ADRs.

I've seen first-hand reports that conflict with long-time, frequent posters and I don't know which is right!

#3 is accurate, at least if you do the reservations using the "old" site. (There are threads here on how to find it via a link to the UK WDW site.) Just yesterday I made reservations beyond the window of my actual room reservation.

It would not be unheard of for the new site to be programmed with a different policy, when/if it begins accepting the "+10" capability, but that's the story for the old site.

Thanks very much for your response. It was the encouragement I needed to set the alarm for 4:45 am to book my ADRs online.

Indeed, I had no trouble whatsoever using the old site to attach my one night room only reservation to the search and then book 9 days of reservations to coincide with our package that starts after the room only.

Further, I was able to call the tours number and book a tour 186 days out. The CM asked me for my confirmation number and i gave her the single night, room only. She read it back as one night and then asked what day I was booking for.

Easy peasy!
