18% tip on total you eat, or what disney covers?

maybe i'm not understanding this correctly....

the 18% tip the servers received on a TS meal - is it 18% of what our total amounts to, or is it 18% of what disney covers for the meal (regardless of what we order)?

say my meal comes to $50 - $9 tip

and if my meal is $100 - $18 tip

me, i plan to add on to the tip amount according to the service

(just want to be sure the server isn't getting 18% on the DDP value for my meal, instead of whatever i actually spend)

I don't know if it's changed in 2006 but last year the Disney restaurants were basing the tip on the dollar amount of what you ordered and at least some of the non-Disney owned restaurants were basing the tip on what they were being paid by Disney.
