First let me say, I LOOOOOVE these boards. Last time we went to DW, we thought those "boats" were so cool to watch the show and wondered how you got to do that! So, now that I know....

DD will be 18 months when we go in Sept....is it a waste of my time to think about these cruises? I would have to count on a cancelation pick up or someone (with other kids) that would want to share, anyway, so it's an outside chance that we would be able to do it.

I *think* it wouldn't be bad since it's not really a LONG time, but does anyone have an experience to share good or bad?

Also...are there life vests for the kids?

Thanks in advance :)

We did it when my little guy was 2 and he never moved...they are so tired and full after dinner....

so many great memories....they do have life jackets...bring snacks and drinks...

never hurts to post on the september thread....

let me know if you have any questions!

I have taken my 2 yr old on an Illuminations cruise. He really loved watching the show. They did have life vests for the kids but it was really big. Maybe if you have a childs vest you could take it with you.

I think the only issue would be the noise. If your little one is scared of loud noises then you might want to rethink any of the fireworks shows.

Children are required to wear life vests on the Illuminations Cruises. They are provided for you. I would highly recommend sharing with another DIS family. We met some GREAT people when we went on one in June.

Good luck!

My 3-year-old nephew was scared of the noise and the heat from the fire.

Depends on the child.

And welcome to the DIS Cuppycake!
