We got our cruise docs today. So excited.

This is a kind of desperate plea. Is anyone able to make a set of stateroom ears for me? DS is desperate for a pair but try as I might I cannot get them to print properly and they just look strange. I have managed to make some other magnets so our door won't look bare but this is apparently really important.

It's up to your TA where he/she has your documents sent. My TA is in Texas and we're in New Jersey so she has them mailed directly to our home.

My travel agent is in the same town so I will phone on Monday and ask. It's the first time she's ever booked a Disney cruise as I was a bit unsure about booking direct. Next time I will book direct.

Pinkytink, if you search for long enough (I think in the end I searched for blank disney cruise magnets, found a site and then searched within) you can find some really sweet personalised magnet templates. With photo paper and a laminator they don't look too bad. DS has a pirate one with his name, and we have a Disney one. It was just the ears that beat me but a kind soul has rescued me.

Has anyone found out what movies they will be showing on the cruise? I emailed but got no response. I'm hoping planes and Monsters University. DS wants to see MU but I keep saying we'll watch it on the trip.

They usually play whatever has come out in the last year or so.
MU, Planes, Lone Ranger and then some would be playing in the BV Theater.
Also probably Oz & Iron Man3.
Older movies and classics are on the stateroom TVs. If a movie premiers mid cruise, sometimes they'll play it in the WD Theater in place of a live show.
We were onboard when Bolt was released and we got to see it 2 days before the release on land. Other movies have played at midnight on release day.

How is everyone doing out there? It is about 3 1/2 weeks until our cruise! I am super excited. I am working on my FE gifts and finding something comfy to wear on the long plane trip from the US. I have a stack of books for the kids to look over so that they are familiar with the history behind the places we are visiting. I hope all is well with all of you!

We are very excited also. The boys finish school on Tuesday and then I can get going with the packing. The older two are off to Cub and Scout camp so I will only have the little ones at home. I think we have everything for the cruise but need to check my many lists.

I checked the dollar exchange rate against the GBP and it is very poor at the moment. I am hoping that it improves before our cruise.

We are really excited now too, I've got some of the suitcases ready on the spare bed and intend to start packing this week once I've finished all our FE stuff. We went away camping in our motorhome this weekend but all I could think about was the cruise!

I think I've finished clothes shopping for us all but I didn't go til last week and I struggled to find shorts for me and the right sizes for the kids. I think I left it a bit late which is crazy since we are still only mid July. Anyone else having the same problem?

I may still need to buy another formal dress though as my plan to drop a size by the cruise isn't working out and we've decided to leave home a week earlier now, if hubby can get more time off, so that now only leaves me 3 weeks to lose about 7lbs! It ain't gonna happen!! On the bright side I will have an excuse to buy another dress!!

Wow, that's great to start packing already. Since this is different than a typical cruise for us, I have a lot of lists of things to remember.

We signed up for online checking accounts with Capital One just for the $50 bonus and I was going to close them but now it will be handy to have for this trip.
Just in case we have some glitch with our regular checking ATM card, we can have a 2nd as a spare and transfer $ online between the 2.
Also for dh's online checking acct I can schedule our paychecks to transfer there so bills get paid while we're gone and we're not tapping into that bill $ unknowingly from Europe. I'm doing a test run this week by making a cc payment.

We saw Despicable Me 2 earlier today. (so cute!) and they showed a preview of Planes. That should be playing on the ship, hopefully not at the same time as the shows, or maybe on a sea day would be nice.
3.5 weeks til we leave for Barcelona!!!

Yes Pinkytink, I have found it difficult to get a good choice of some summer clothes too! I did do well getting some great discounts in the sales, but there are a couple of things I am finding hard to get - I will cope, I'm sure

Ruadisneyfan2 - my husband and I spent the other evening working out all the ways in which we will conduct our finances for the holidays eg which accounts to use, how many Euros to bring, onboard credit etc. Quite boring, but I was glad to sort it all out!

We have some time in Paris and Barcelona before the cruise, so less than 3 weeks until we leave for our holidays! Excitement levels building!!

Very excited today! Three weeks to go. And we went on a Rhino trail in Southampton today and there were three cruise ships in - Ventura, Independence of the Seas and we couldn't read the other one - and I think it was the first time DS realised how big the ship is going to be. Lots of conversations today reassuring him that he won't get lost.

Packing is going well - almost two thirds done and we still have space. My problem buying clothes is that I'm short so a maxi dress literally trails behind me. Ended up catalogue shopping and picked up a few nice things.

The Fish Extender gifts are done and packed.

I now have two really horrible weeks at work before my two weeks vacation. Head down and just keep thinking about the trip. Started planning the four days we have in Barcelona finally and decided we are are going to keep it low key and relaxed, maybe the aquarium and beach one day and the hop on hop off another.

Just have to get through the next two weeks.
