17 Days of Wishes Come to Life- A Sept. 08 WDW and DCL Adventure 3/27 new link posted

Finally all caught up. I can not wait to hear about this leg of your trip. We have yet to do the cruise. That is a shame about the nails. The other services sound wonderful. Poor LP in his torture device. Those crowds were scary. I am sorry you couldnt get Palo I hear it is awesome.
Palo is awesome. We did get to have brunch there last time. And there were a few dinner openings that we declined to use. We figured that our dinner times were already really nice and we wanted to have that time with the kids (you will come to understand why that was at a premium as my trip report continues).

The meal sounds delicious and your wait staff sound fantastic. Silly question but is all food included on the cruise? How about drinks? Do you just pay for alcohol? I'd love to do a cruise but want to be prepared at what extras you have to pay for :rotfl:
YES...every single bite of food that passed my lips (since I didn't eat at Palo this time which does have a surcharge) was included. Even room service (other than soda/alcohol or a very few snack items such as popcorn) is included! We often ended up calling for pizza in the middle of the night or great big chocolate chip cookies in the late afternoon. You have to pay for specialty drinks and alcoholic drinks (although you can get free alcoholic ones at the Captain's reception:thumbsup2 ). At dinner you can order any drink but an alcoholic one or a smoothie and it's included. Other times of the day you pay if you order a drink at a bar (even a soda) but we never order soda because they have a free drink station with soda, water, milk and *maybe, I don't really remember* juice. The drink station is located near the pizza, hot dogs, fries, ice cream and wraps...so I think most people just grab their own (and that is included in the price). Oh, you do also pay for bottled water and fru fru coffee drinks at the coffee shop (but the pastries and other snacks in there are free).

The extras that are something over looked sometimes are the tips. OUCH. Those add up quickly, but I don't begrudge the servers or room hosts those. They all do such a fantastic job of making your time on board flat out amazing. The service is next to none. :thumbsup2

That banana caribe looks yummy. Loved the picture of your family embarking on the ship, very cute! The food sounds amazing even at Parrot Cay. Looking forward to more updates popcorn::. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
Thanks. I hope you guys have a great Christmas too. I know I am already enjoying it. Maybe a little too much when it comes to the plate of cookies I cannot seem to pass without grabbing a nibble from. ;)

I miss the Magic
I miss the Magic too! It's such a welcoming and fun adventure. I love feeling as if I can do as little or as much as I want each and every day and knowing that, in either case, I will still have a great day!

That french toast-banana bread with coconut ice cream sounds scrumptious! My mouth was watering from your description. The first photo of you boarding the Magic is lovely :goodvibes Parrot Cay sounds FANTASTIC! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see what you see at the Walt Disney Theater...

I loved the pictures of the poor little nugget being tortured by that bad bad vest!! :lmao: His face said it all!!

Thanks so much for sharing this trip with us. I'm just loving it and it is bringing back great memories of cruising with DD when she was little. She doesn't remember much of it, but I sure do!!

WOW that banana Caribe looks so yummy! I need one of those right now!! :drinking1

So all the kids liked the kids club?? I hope all of the kids in our party will ike it too! :rotfl:

Hi Jay! I can't believe I just found your report this last weekend. I read all of our past reports but I have no idea if you remember me, I might have been posting under my old user name (BabieeMelly). I can't believe how big the boys have gotten! They're all too cute and look so much alike! And Little Prince is ADORABLE! I remember reading all about your pregnancy in your last report and I'm very happy to see that LP is a very healthy and happy boy. Although he may have been miserable, the pictures of him in the Mickey ears and lifejacket are PRECIOUS! And what a good boy he is, always smiling, giggling and raring to go. What a cutie! :cutie:

I've loved spending these past few days getting all caught up. What an amazing trip you planned, between the concierge level at the Wilderness Lodge, all the special surprises and the cruise. What a trip! I'm definitely looking forward to more. Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS JAY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

You have certainly given us all the joy of your trip reports. You are a SUPERMOM to those four lucky boys..

Thanks for entertaining us. Looking forward to more after all the fun of Christmas with your family. We'll be here watching and waiting for more news about your cruise. Take your time and enjoy the holidays.

Nora

Merry Christmas to you all! I hope you are enjoying safe and happy Christmas days surrounded by those you love. :thumbsup2

I am busy as a bee today, but wanted to stop by and wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I will be back with another installment within the next few days.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Your first dinner on board sounded delicious!!

I wasn't on the DIS yesterday so I couldn't say it to you on time, but MERRY CHRISTMAS! :goodvibes I hope your family had a great day, filled with warm memories!

Jay,

My DH and I returned home really late on Dec. 19; we sat in the Orlando airport for about 5 hours and on the plane for an hour and half. We didn't get the stomach bug going around WDW, but got head colds near the end of our trip. Just starting to feel better so I wanted to get caught up on your TR.

Great report and pics! You've had me laughing :rotfl: and crying :sad1:. Will send you a PM about our magical moments.

Hope you and your family enjoy the rest of the holidays!

Kathy

When we got to the Walt Disney theater we were twenty minutes early. This was a good thing. We were able to find seats for dh and myself (holding our Little Prince), Mrs. and Mr. Friend and Snow White. If you want seating for a larger group in the area of your choice...make sure you arrive early. Coming in just a minute or two before the show starts is the perfect way to insure that you do NOT get to sit together/where you want. We learned this lesson during our last cruise. ;)

On this night, the show was All Aboard, Let the Magic Begin! I never get tired of this show because it reminds me that I am once again aboard the Disney Magic and gets me excited about all of the magical moments (that will become great memories) I am about to make. This week's special entertainers were Freddy Fusion (LOVE LOVE LOVE him) and John Charles. They both did short little taste tests for us to get us excited for what we would see at tomorrow night's show. Freddy Fusion is a comedian/magician. I am totally sold on his brand of humor. If he had a fan club (does he?) I would be in it. He had me in tears (literally) more than once and I am still scratching my head over some of his tricks (HOW in the heck did he do that?!). John Charles is a guitar playing comedian. He was funny and I enjoyed watching him but if I were picking a favorite, I would defiantly pick Freddy Fusion.

After the show, we spent some time hanging out with our friends up on deck. It was very nice to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet, the wind blowing across the water/deck, the late night pizza (YES, we ate again;) ). A bit before midnight Mrs. Friend and I went to pick the kid's up from the clubs. They were not even remotely ready for us. However, we pointed out that they had all week to enjoy the kids' clubs and we needed to get some sleep before our day at Castaway Cay (which was at that point, only about 9 short hours away). Here is a picture of Stitch and Cinderella as we found them.

Once again, I just have to say it, how cute are they together?

Since coming home, I have downloaded three games that Stitch fell in love with on the cruise. He was able to play these computer games in the kid's club and repeatedly asked to be able to play them at home. Zuma, Peggle and Bejeweled. I blame him because now I find myself zoning out playing these games when I should be doing other things. ;)

We dragged the kids with us (I don't think they cared that the clubs were going to close in less than 10 minutes, they didn't want to miss a thing) and made our way back to our room. Aladdin found his way back to the room shortly after we arrived and we all settled down for our first night's sleep aboard the Disney Magic.

I lay there unable to sleep for a short while before exhaustion overcame excitement. While I laid there I looked back on the land portion of our vacation and all of the wonderful memories we had made so far and I was beyond excited thinking of all of fun that was yet to come. Starting bright and early the next day with dh and I going on a snorkeling excursion...

To be continued...

I love all abord let the magic begin too. I especily like the character of the boy who dreams to be captian of the Disney Magic someday. I also like the show on the last night, the vesions i've seen they said "and they sailed on the ship for" 14 nights and 15 nights respectivly. Also I love how they work the old 25th anaverery theme into the show too.
