Day 5...Did I 'forget' to mention?!
Now I had purposely skipped a major surprise that was awaiting us onboard the yacht in the last installment. I wanted to cover the joy our group got out of sailing together on the yacht itself. The wonderful things we saw and everything else that was wrapped up in within that part of the dream itself.
But now for the wonderful surprise that awaited us just below deck! Of course, we were very full from our private luncheon...but when we saw the desserts laid out for us...we made room! The dessert party was everything I had hoped for and more. We had a friendly server there to make sure our plates stayed full of yummy treats and that our drinks never came up empty. He did a great job! The adults in the group thought it might be fun to bribe him to come home with us so we could have our own personal server at home!

Here is the wonderful spread of sugary goodness that awaited us. I think that the pastry chefs at the Grand Floridian totally outdid themselves!!
It was a huge Indiana Jones themed platter of goodies!!
Every single thing upon that silver platter was edible!! Including Mr. Jones himself. He was printed in edible ink upon pressed sugar!
In this picture you see our white chocolate skulls filled with cookies and cream pudding and gummy worms...THE COOLEST DESSERT EVER!! You also see orange citrus square with scarab beetles on top (very good!), white chocolate dipped strawberries with 'dead' expressions (oh so good!) and chocolate bon bons with little green snakes wound around on the top of them.
In this picture you see chocolate cake with chocolate filling pyramids topped with real gold flakes to make them shine! A small chocolate treasure chest filled with white chocolate peanut butter filled truffles and chocolate gold coins. You can also see the little caramel and liquor truffles sitting in front of the chest along with the edible pillars (made from white chocolate) along with the crumbled "dirt" . Also pictured is an up close of the green snake bon bons, a white chocolate covered strawberry and the very tops of another super fun treat...chocolate fedoras on top of a vanilla and coconut pastry.
Here's another picture of the fedoras with the other previously described stuff behind them. In front of them was more of the mummy faced strawberries, brownies with chocolate spider webs on top and amazingly good sugar cookies and peanut butter cookies!
Here
Stitch digs into a skull! This dessert was the only one I actually requested. The rest I said the pastry chefs could just use their imaginations and surprise me with. But like Indiana Jones dining on monkey brains in a skull in the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, I wanted my boys to have a chance to dine out of a skull!

Seriously though, I did.

I was so happy with how these desserts turned out!
Another up close of our tasty desserts!
Enjoying the desserts!
My first plate!
How cool was the Indy design up close!
Ahhhh...What a dessert party! The perfect setting. Amazingly delicious food that looked totally cool. Great friends. Perfect weather. Fun crew. Calm waters. It was SO much better than I had dared dream of!
