TO BE CONTINUED....

Hmmm...my guess is the old Typhoon Lagoon, although I'm by no means an expert!

The trip looked so very relaxing; there's nothing quite like good friends and nice conversation! Except for food, of course, but I'm sure that is going to make an appearance pretty soon...;) The picture of Stitch and Cinderella is just too sweet :cloud9: . I'm 20-something, and there are several friends that I've kept in touch with since childhood. My very best friend and I have been friends for 17 years now, and we're actually planning a tentative trip to Disneyland next May! True friendship is everlasting :cutie:. Can't wait to hear more!

ETA: Yay; I finally figured out how to make thumbnail sizes of pics I'm quoting!:cheer2:

Day 5...Did I 'forget' to mention?! ;)

Now I had purposely skipped a major surprise that was awaiting us onboard the yacht in the last installment. I wanted to cover the joy our group got out of sailing together on the yacht itself. The wonderful things we saw and everything else that was wrapped up in within that part of the dream itself.

But now for the wonderful surprise that awaited us just below deck! Of course, we were very full from our private luncheon...but when we saw the desserts laid out for us...we made room! The dessert party was everything I had hoped for and more. We had a friendly server there to make sure our plates stayed full of yummy treats and that our drinks never came up empty. He did a great job! The adults in the group thought it might be fun to bribe him to come home with us so we could have our own personal server at home! ;)

Here is the wonderful spread of sugary goodness that awaited us. I think that the pastry chefs at the Grand Floridian totally outdid themselves!!
GOODWDWcamera140.jpg

It was a huge Indiana Jones themed platter of goodies!!
GOODWDWcamera141.jpg

Every single thing upon that silver platter was edible!! Including Mr. Jones himself. He was printed in edible ink upon pressed sugar!
GOODWDWcamera142.jpg

In this picture you see our white chocolate skulls filled with cookies and cream pudding and gummy worms...THE COOLEST DESSERT EVER!! You also see orange citrus square with scarab beetles on top (very good!), white chocolate dipped strawberries with 'dead' expressions (oh so good!) and chocolate bon bons with little green snakes wound around on the top of them.
GOODWDWcamera143.jpg

In this picture you see chocolate cake with chocolate filling pyramids topped with real gold flakes to make them shine! A small chocolate treasure chest filled with white chocolate peanut butter filled truffles and chocolate gold coins. You can also see the little caramel and liquor truffles sitting in front of the chest along with the edible pillars (made from white chocolate) along with the crumbled "dirt" . Also pictured is an up close of the green snake bon bons, a white chocolate covered strawberry and the very tops of another super fun treat...chocolate fedoras on top of a vanilla and coconut pastry.
GOODWDWcamera144.jpg

Here's another picture of the fedoras with the other previously described stuff behind them. In front of them was more of the mummy faced strawberries, brownies with chocolate spider webs on top and amazingly good sugar cookies and peanut butter cookies!
GOODWDWcamera145.jpg

Here Stitch digs into a skull! This dessert was the only one I actually requested. The rest I said the pastry chefs could just use their imaginations and surprise me with. But like Indiana Jones dining on monkey brains in a skull in the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, I wanted my boys to have a chance to dine out of a skull! :rotfl: Seriously though, I did. ;) I was so happy with how these desserts turned out!
GOODWDWcamera153.jpg

Another up close of our tasty desserts!

Enjoying the desserts!

My first plate!

How cool was the Indy design up close!

Ahhhh...What a dessert party! The perfect setting. Amazingly delicious food that looked totally cool. Great friends. Perfect weather. Fun crew. Calm waters. It was SO much better than I had dared dream of! :thumbsup2

TO BE CONTINUED...

First my guess on the two pictures out on the lake, I say they are of Discovery Island. :teacher:

Those desserts are so cool! I wouldn't have wanted to eat them they looked so nice!

Your Grand 1 adventures looked perfect :cloud9: The interior of the yacht is beautiful, the water looks so calm, and everybody is having a great time! :goodvibes Very cute about Cinderella and Stitch! I'm so impressed with the dessert tray. I sat here studying each picture, I never knew how detailed desserts could be! ;) Pillars, pyramids, skulls (and what a great idea you had!), I'm just amazed! Did I mention how much I love chocolate? :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I'm guessing that one area is (was) River Country?

Can't wait for what comes next!

OMG Jay, the entire day is one big wonderful surprise.
I feel like I am part of it all.

Can you adopt me please:worship:

Ok, I know the pictures are Discovery Island, but someone beat me to guessing it.

That dessert buffet is to die for. I hope it all tasted as good as it looked. Just that Grand I cruise and dessert buffet alone are a dream surprise, I'd love to do that for my family one day. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.:lovestruc

:faint: WOW what a day! The Grand One is beautiful and your desserts look so yummy! I want a skull!!

WOW! The pastry chefs were so incredibly creative coming up with that dessert tray - and it all looks sooooooo yummy!

Your dream day has been just amazing!

So glad Stitch was feeling better & could enjoy the rest of the day. :goodvibes

What a great dessert tray! The detail is amazing. LOVE the skulls.

Who wouldn't love to eat pudding from a chocolate skull? :confused3

"A Final Surprise"????? You mean there's more? I don't know if we can stand it! :cutie:

Yes ma'am. The next installment is coming right up! THREE DAYS...YOU LEAVE IN THREE DAYS!!!!!

Now it's only TWO DAYS! I wish it was TO-DAY!

The time on the yacht, and the FOOD look so wonderful! I'm happy to hear your dream day went so beautifully. :cloud9:

The pastry chefs really went to down with their imagination. I love the skulls too, they sound delish!

I'm also very happy to hear Stitch started to feel better and could enjoy the rest of the day with his family and wonderful friends. :goodvibes

More surprises?
Seriously...
MORE.

My goodness, Jay, you certainly have outdone yourself (and the pastry chef's as well ;) ). Honestly, everything looks so magical and beautiful. I'm very jealous. Very. Fantastic day so far! Can't wait for more.

I can't believe it took me until today to find this...and I can't believe I just read the whole thing!!
Awesome so far, can't wait for more!!

WOW! What an awesome day. I am glad to see Stitch got to feeling better. I can't believe there is another surprise to come. PP's are right. I don't know how you could ever top this day. :)

YOU ROCKED THAT PARTY JAY!!!!
YOU TRULY OUTDID YOURSELF.
I AM IN TOTAL AWE!

Seriously, the whole day so far has been so exciting and adventurous....exactly what you were going for. The Grand 1 is amazing and oh my goodness, those desserts are absolutely stunning. They look so delicious and yummy. I have to ask though, did the adults get any of the skulls?? I would have wanted one of those...LOL....hahaha. I only saw 6 on the tray. I guess I am just a big ole' kid at heart!!!

I was happy to read that Stitch started to feel better. I think Cinderella knows a good catch when she sees one and just think...with their love of WDW who knows, you may just have a future Disney wedding in the making. LOL. They are so cute together!!!

Another surprise.....?? I am so excited!!!!

How incredibly sweet are Stitch and Cinderella, maybe a WDW wedding is in the future :rotfl:

OMG that dessert plate is fantastic, what imagination and skill to produce that, it looked delicious too :goodvibes

I do not know why it took me so long to find you latest report but I have read all of it today and am loving it! I remember from you previous reports what a wonderful, sweet family you have and your little prince is an amazing new addition. I have had fun following your adventures so far (I can't WAIT to try The Wave on my next visit) and I can't get over how cool your Indiana Jones adventure is! The desserts, the yacht, Idaho Jones...magical! :thumbsup2 And there's another suprise to come? Wow I had no idea WDW offered adventures like this. Truly spectacular, I can't wait for more!

:cool1: :cool1: AWESOME!! AWESOME!! AWESOME!! :cool1: :cool1:
I am so amazed by the dessert tray! The skulls are perfect! I think my jaw was dropped about to the floor as I studied that tray... a perfect 10!!! I think you must have been floating away by how wonderful it all was! :cloud9:
I love the idea of Stitch and Cinderella! Very cute! ;)
Can't wait for the next surprise! You are spoiling us with this amazing trip!! :yay:
