Day 5...We sail away with our dreams!
It was truly sad to say our goodbyes to Idaho Jones. He was so much fun! I wish he could have come with us for the rest of our day, sadly, that was NOT in the budget.
Idaho led us up to the edge of the dock and we were met there by the co-captains of the yacht. They along with a host of other CMs helped us on to the yacht and told us to make ourselves at home. I wish they would have told me to make it my permanent home!

Here is a quick look back at the dock.
Here you can see some of the many people that we helping make our day go smoothly. The lady in blue was our event planner (my favorite Disney CM of all time). The others were marina CMs who pitched in for our portion of the day there, a few on site entertainment CMs and who knows who else. Sadly, I was hoping to catch a last shot of Idaho Jones, but he must have been spotted by the bad guys and had to make a break for it.
So, I turned and made my way toward the rest of our group. Here is what they were doing...exploring the yacht of course!!
Goofy took no time to make himself at home, he grabbed a bottle of water and flopped down on one of the four beds.
I would have no problem curling up here for a nap as I floated upon the blue seas. Ahhh...a girl can dream!
And so could a
Goofy! He was not satisfied with exploring just one of the three bedrooms...he was off to find the master bedroom!
I liked this one even better!
Finally,
Goofy and
Stitch said the room they would actually pick was the third room. I guess there is no accounting for taste. Bunk beds are the apple of my boys' eyes!
Here's a picture of
Abu and
Aladdin kicked back and relaxing. They were happy to claim the table for themselves.
One of our wonderful co-captains. These two rocked! We loved every minute we spent with them! They didn't intrude on our "private time" before we sought them out...but once we did, they were so friendly and inviting that we considered them instant friends! They had great stories to tell and told us that we were the first party to consist of so many more kids than adults.

I think that had scared them when they saw it on paper. Thankfully our kids used their good behavior and the ship's crew was complimenting them before long.
Happily very shortly after getting underway, his medicine kicked in and
Stitch was once again his happy, healthy self!
How much more relaxed could you possibly get?
Cinderella and
Stitch seemed to have cornered the market on the laid back look!
An aside about
Stitch and
Cinderella. Those two are the very best of friends. They first met as babies (just a few months past their first birthdays) and being as both families hit it off so well, they had spent countless hours together before even turning two. From the time she could talk,
Cinderella has told us that she is going to marry
Stitch. Just last year, I asked her what the doll's name she was carrying was. She responded with no hesitation that it was Mabel Rose _______. The blank was my last name. When I asked her about it (I mistakenly thought she might have just liked our family name lots

) she said it was the last name of all of her dolls cause that was their dad's last name. Oh my goodness, I don't ever think I laughed so hard on the inside while trying to keep a straight face on the outside.

I remember being in physical pain and when my eyes met her moms...we both got up and ran from the room with tears in our eyes. We just couldn't hold it together and as I ran out, I heard her saying "Those moms sure are crazy" to her baby doll.
Back to the point of the aside. It wouldn't be anything short of a miracle of those two do end up together...but if they do, they are going to have quite the wedding reception slide show if they do.

We have pictures of the two of them sleeping in a playpen with nothing but a diaper on, all curled up together like little puppies. We have pictures of them mad as hornets at each other and in the process of trying to kick at each other. We have pictures of them watching the fireworks just last year with their heads on each other's shoulders and their tiny arms around each other. I also have another picture from that same day last year where they are sitting on top of
Abu (her older brother) and pretending he is a horse. Now we can add the pictures from this magical day and the rest of our joint time on vacation that was to follow to the stack of pictures of the two of them growing up together. Ahhh...sorry for the aside, but knowing just how close the two of them have grown up being, it sort of puts the cherry on top of this day. That same closeness holds true for all six kids actually.
Of all of life's blessings, a family of friends, that everyone in your family enjoys and who you can count on both when the chips are down and also to enjoy the best moments like our dream day, is one of the sweetest!
Back back to our time on the yacht. We had a great time sailing all around and taking in the wonderful Disney sights! I know a night time cruise may have been more romantic and we would have had the option of seeing fireworks...but for what my opinion is worth, day time was the right time to sail on the Grand 1! We could see so much of the world...and we had a great time taking all of the sights in! Here are some of the many pictures I took over the course of our almost two hour cruise.
