17 Days of Disney Magic (aka Brits, Pirates & Princesses) - Lots of PICS!

My photos aren’t lovely because my camera isn’t hi-tech enough (oh and I was filming at the same time) but here they are:

It constantly amazes me that people have never seen Fantasmic. To me it is the best show in all of WDW. I just love it and I well up from the very start.

After the show, it was getting very late so we decided to go back to the hotel. Naturally, we stopped on the way back to the car to check out the shops and pose for some more silly hat pictures!

And finally, another ‘bunnies vacation in WDW too’ photo at the hotel

Then it will be included in my next trip that's for sure. It's great to have centers like that my Houston Zoo is always remodeling trying to update the scenery. I'm glad places like that exist we just need the next generation to learn that animals are friends and that we need to learn to be kind. :dance3:

Your pics are great on my Feb. Trip it was my first time at WDW and I also fell in LOVE :lovestruc with Fantasmic I made it my must see too. Your pics look great better than mine. What camera do you use?

Ok, so I will only read Karen's part with a British accent,:rotfl2:
And I will not give her a "madame bouqet, lady of the house speaking"accent.
(I do love that show, Keeping up Appearances, love British comedies.) I will think of you on 4/24 while I am there!

I'm one of those who never had gone. We have always wanted to see the show but having a 1 then 2 year old, we thought it might be a little much for her. We will be doing it next time though.:goodvibes :goodvibes

:lmao: Yeah, Karen's more Bristolian than Hyacinth Bucket! If it helps, according to my american sisters, I apparently sound like Kate Winslet :confused3 :rotfl:

Ooohhh yeah, please have a drink or piece of cake for me that day! Wish I was there!

Ah, but you see you have a good excuse. I was meaning more the ones who 'just haven't gotten around to it' or 'weren't that interested'. But I'm glad you're gonna go this time, you'll LOVE it!!!!

Ok, I'm gonna go write some more right now. I'm a little behind today because I just found out that I get to work with Mickey and Minnie mouse tomorrow!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :worship:

They've come over to do a tour of some hospices and I'm going to help them with the last stop on the tour - a local children's hospice tomorrow lunchtime. SOOOOOO excited!!! Mickey and Minnie never visit the UK! :woohoo: :lovestruc

Totally agree!

ooohhh, eeerrrr, I'm not sure because it wasn't mine. I was using a normal point and shoot Cannon A50 (old but got some nice fantasmic pics in 2006). This time I'd borrowed Karen's boyfriend's camera as mine had just broken. I will find out for you. But it's a point and shoot digital.

Sounding like Kate Winslet is not a bad thing at all. I enjoyed the pictures of you with the hats.

Next morning (Thursday) we had til around 6pm to drop off the car, so we headed off to Aquatica.

Obviously as this was a new park we were quite excited. We started off badly though by somehow getting into the wrong lane and heading down the staff and vip lane (damn those, enter on the other side lanes…we’re brit’s, they should have a big sign to say ‘oy, you’re driving on the other side of the road so you enter here’:confused3 . Anyway, after trying and failing to sheepishly make our way across to the normal line, we went all the way out and re-entered the park again *blush*.

Finally parking we headed to the entrance. We knew we didn’t have that long there but we had tickets as part of our discovery cove package, so we figured we might as well get there early and do as much as poss. Anyway, this is where I complained about Aquatica’s hideous organisation. We went throught the bag check, then were told our tickets didn’t work and we had to go to one line, then we were told to go to another, then another – we asked 4 different members of staff. Anyway, long story short, we queued for nearly an hour to be told we could have more-or-less walked straight in (through the vip bit). I had asked this and been told no…TWICE!!! GRRRRR

Inside, and very unimpressed by this point (despite the pretty layout), we decided to change and then find a deck chair. By now the park was very busy and there were already huge queues for the rides – partic the dolphin one which had been my point of getting there early. Well, we found nice chairs and went straight for one of the rides across the park. It was fun and had great views from the top
hol17a.jpg

On the way back to the chairs we walked around, trying to get our bearings. Dunno if it was just us but I found it quite difficult to get a good idea of where everything was. Everything looked the same.

Although, by this point, I’d realised I wasn’t gonna get to go on the dolphin slide because of time commitments, I took some photos from the observation area:

Back at our deckchair area, we went on this ride:

It’s our favourite. We just had so much fun, despite the fact that Karen somehow managed to catapult me off on one landing, so much so that I went flying about 6ft ahead of her in the water :rotfl: . Still, it was fun, and I didn't drown:laughing: .

We spent the rest of our time either on this ride, relaxing in the chairs or in the wave pool:

That is, all afternoon except for when I went into some things I love – the two lazy rivers. One is a nice simple one where you go round in a tube (like typoon) and can go past an aquarium, under waterfalls etc:
hol27a.jpg

hol31a.jpg

It's hard to control the tubes but a nice relaxing ride.

The other, and more fun one, was a fast-flowing river which you can wear jackets in if you want too. We did it once with and once without.

SOOOO much fun.

Anyway, after hanging out there for a while it was time to leave, so we changed at the park and I said a reluctant, sad farewell to my baby as we drove back to the airport to drop him off

Thank you. Will finish this day off later tonight, when I get back from Mickey and Minnie!

Aquatica looks peaceful and relaxing nice way to spend your day. Thanks for figuring out the camera :). Bye bye baby chrysler.:wave2:

Still waiting to hear back on that camera but not forgotten. And yep *sob* bye bye baby chrysler :wave2:

I am so enjoying your TR....can not wait to read more.

Thank you very much

Right, now I'm back from helping Mickey and Minnie, I'll go write up a bit more before bed.

From today - not flattering but look at my happy face (they flew over from Paris to do it, then headed home):
