I have been hearing great things about the Wave for breakfast so I cancelled dinner and plan on doing a walk in for breakfast...I also hear it isnt a busy place in the early morning
That is very true...there may have been about five tables in there the whole time we were there. And with Todd there, you should definately not have a problem walking up...
Dinner and lunch posed more of a fear of the unusual on my part on behalf of the kids...and it was early on so they had not realized that just becasue something may sound fnacy or odd or god gorbid, HEALTHY...does not necessarily mean it is yucky! Later in the trip they were more adventurous...and they got more bold at asking the wait staff what things were and for things on the side or to change them...yep, the kids would do that themselves...no need for mom to do it!
By-the-way...Tyler finds out if he won for Student Council Treasurer today...he has gone from a school that did absolutely nothing inthe way of extracurriculars to running for student government and has really had an awesome outlook on the whole thing...including the prospect of not winning! I am so proud of him...win or lose!!! But I think this is just one place where things like being able to learn how to speak and ask for what you want (like at adult type meals in Disney World (see it is very educational and character building!)) helps a kid with his confidence! He is now in one school for 7th grade that is where all eight elementary schools in the district feed into...and without any prior knowledge, he was ready to jump in! And he even was consoling one of the girls running for Vice President because she does not think she is going to win becasue people are being mean to her becasue she is overweight. Tyler gave her a pep talk and told her that at least she had the guts to run for something she wanted and that even if she is not elected, they will still be able to be part of Student Council. Of the over 800 students in 7th and 8th grade, there were only a handful that ran for all the positions...so no matter what the outcome, Tyler is a winner in my book! But wish him luck!!!!
And now back to your regularly schedules dining review!!!!
